Ailments you have fallen victim to during the absence of Bob:
GregJ.Hansen replied to Willi B's topic in Affirmation Nation with Bob Ducca
Symptomitis. Droopy drawers. Clown cheek. Navel battles. Insertion hysteria. Corneal prisms. Ectoplasm poisoning. Intestinal solidification. Gummi beard. Cough Lundgren. Narcophelia. Kleptomancy. Arachnipolio. Scrotal walleting. Pin chin. Fly eye. Rose nose. Shrimp lips. Bullet tongue. I can't believe it's not diverticulitis. -

Episode 28.5 — Bonus Cut: Walkabout
GregJ.Hansen replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
This was one of the best bonus segments yet! Love the aside at the end, "oh, they're putting everything in the crust now". Truer than you know! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWDwZWCfp64 -
How! How could you have Kyle Dunnigan on and not wring a few riddles out of him? At least we got a little "How You Weigh?" action. Can't wait for the TV show! Having only heard Andy Daly thus far, I am wondering how much physicality he puts into his characters, and how the experience will change with a visual component. Gotta get out to UCB one of these days...

I think I might have scabbadababbada... am I spelling that right? I can't find it on WebMD.

I really hope that Popeye scene finds its way onto the DVD for The Dictator, just hearing about it cracked me up. I heard Rason and Jandy on the Madeliene Brand Show this week (KPCC represent!), and I was hoping they'd get to spend some time here talking about the CBC's 'alternate feed' for hockey games, as it sounded like a rich vein of comedy gold just waiting to be mined. Maybe when we visit the County? Super-excited about that, by the way.

I look forward to the severe and absolute enforcement of the new WYR theme song rule.

As a sort of three-year anniversary gift, do you think Marissa Wompler could get her own podcast? I know she's only an intern (and not a paid one like they got over on Improv4Humans), but it'd get her out of Scott's hair, probably. Plus she'd have to come in more often, thus fulfilling the criteria of her internship! Every week she could bring in a guest who puts her in situations she is not quite emotionally mature enough to deal with.

That's the music they always run under the quick hits segment, but it was a bit hot this time... sounded like it was on the 9's and 10's when it should have probably been on the 5's and 6's. Otherwise, great guest and good show! It's a treat when the guest sticks around to interact with the character in the last segment, and I wish it happened more often. Gonna spend my weekend punching waterfalls and breaking trophies. Stamped!

Was Matt Besser feeling well this week? His voice sounded a little affected... he sounded younger. Did he get a time travel disease? For anyone curious about the 'Japanese theater' thing that was mentioned in the dunk contest segment, here's an example:

Whenever Mantzoukas guests on a podcast, it is literally bananas. Top 5 podcast guest, all-time, minority or otherwise.

Any episode with Andy Daly. Actually, listen to them in order and thank me when you get to the "Wipeout!" episode.

Max Records was the kid in "Where the Wild Things Are", and he does have a great name.

Woo Jim Gaffigan! I was introduced to him via the manatee bit on Dr. Katz back in the day. Always been a favorite and his interview was very satisfying. Stories about corporate gigs tickle me because of how universally horrible the task always seems to be. Glad to hear reference and reverence for Brian Regan. His album is definitely what got me into standup comedy something fierce back in high school. I've seen him live several times and he's a blast, would love to hear him on pretty much any Earwolf podcast. edit: oh god, "golden bishop"

Bob Odenkirk just spilled some very interesting news!

Yeah, I think the engine block has a few stripped chucklenuts. -
I dig Howard on bass. He's gotta build some kind of character around that deep smooth radio voice.

Episode 22 — Fart Scientist
GregJ.Hansen replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
"Something to do with William Jennings Bryan." Loved this one. The suggestion stories were great and I loved the outfit bit and finding out where the students lived. Good bits with Eric the Paid Intern this time around, as well. I think I speak for all of myself when I say, keep 'im! -
Aw, with a new bro-out episode, I was hoping for a return of one of my favorite segments from olden times, "How You Weigh?"

In all deference to Kyle, advancements in our understanding of paleontology have not been satisfactorily reflected in the available shapes of chicken nuggets.

Episode 34 — The Adventures of Pluto Nash
GregJ.Hansen replied to admin's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I think the biggest lesson I took away from this episode is, "don't make a space movie with a character whose last name is Carter". Such endeavors seem to be doomed to failure. -
It was exciting to hear the Puss in Boots quiz come into its own over the past few episodes.

It's like watching the needle as the gas tank fills up on my comedymobile! -
Ben Schwartz is a ray of soundshine that lights up any podcast.
