Paul F. Tompkins Eddie Pepitone Greg Proops... actually I am morbidly curious how anyone known from Whose Line (US or British incarnations! what's Mike McShane up to these days?) does in a long-form improv setting. Edit: Eric the Formerly Paid Intern! You know you wanna.

As a white person, I hereby give you permission to rip on "Town and Country", as well as the backlog of episodes you've done thus far (excluding Tiptoes, as I do not speak for white little people)

Submit clips here!

Yellow Magic Orchestra is legit great, and Rydeen is one of their best songs. All these music videos have reminded me of one of my favorites, the Croatian keytar diva, Belinda BedekoviΔ. -
It was a good theme! Enjoy your fame while it lasts.

Episode 54 β Why or Why Not?
GregJ.Hansen replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
In the playground of my mind, I am listening to the episode where Eric not only provides the stilted, awkward material for improv scenes, but participates in the scenes as well! -
I like having the guest involved throughout the whole episode, and Open Mike Eagle was a lot of fun. As a very much rap outsider, it's nice hearing a conversation about what, to people who are deeper entrenched, must be foregone conclusions about who is great and why. I had no idea about the importance of "Illmatic", for example, but I went and listened to it mid-episode and feel that much more educated. I would love, like, a "Hip-Hop 101" list of albums that the hosts think we should absolutely be familiar with. Sure, I could look up "best-of" lists anywhere online (and probably will later), but everybody has their own influences so I'd like to know what Jeff and Nocando hold in esteem. I am listening to -their- podcast, after all! I can't speak for anyone else in the Earwolf audience but, regarding authors, I am pretty much hand-in-hand with Jeff on those truly-great-but-also-funny authors. Needs some Vonnegut in there, though! And if Jeff did want to draw some legitimate parallels between Whitman and 2Pac, I'd sure listen. On the subject of Gangnam Style, first of all it's a pet peeve of mine when people pronounce it "Gang-um" (I'm looking at you, Nocando!) but such things are ultimately fleeting and inconsequential. I love crossover success like that, and I genuinely enjoy the song. Imports have been a huge part of my music collection over the past decade and a half. Lots of Japanese but some Korean and a few Chinese bands. I would be interested to hear what level of exposure Nocando has to the Japanese scene, and his thoughts on rap and hip-hop as an export that has been widely embraced outside the US. On that note, here are the first two Japanese hip-hop songs I ever heard: (translation) (middle verse by Zeebra, vocals by ACO) Edit: Actually damn, listening to these again has made me super-nostalgic and wistful. The power of music!

The reaction to the catchphrase had me in tears, but the flat-out stupidity of the catchphrase itself didn't hurt. Though, I can't help but hear it as some ridiculous hoity-toity name... Malcolm d'Broccoli Bling Bling, serving the good people of Devonshire at the pleasure of His Royal Majesty.

Episode 10 β Sprout of a New Generation

Teen, teen steam! Gotta let it out... from where, though, I am afraid to ask. Spot-on comments about that backing track. Pitchfork track of the month for sure! I was waiting for something by Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti to kick in. -
That's gotta be the most absurd tagline in film history. I gotta see this.

Night of a Thousand Stallones! I'm sad June didn't try the voice on for size.

Is this the fastest turnaround between guest appearances by the same character?

So if Mississippi is the asshole of America and Florida the undeniable dick, that must make Alabama the taint.

Episode 53 β Live from RIOT LA

So, after listening to this episode, I think a good idea would be to ask audience members to just make some noises and the comedians do scenes based on what words they think those noises sounded like. -

I can tell this is a best-of episode, because I'm smiling. -
Wow, and I thought I was a dork.

I am shocked... SHOCKED! that one of the 5 I's of Twitter isn't "Instagram".

May I humbly suggest that "Two Mega SD's" would have been the better title for this episode.

I loved this episode because it was basically the fusion of two of my favorite NewsRadio episodes, Aziz was delightful, and James Adomian continues to astonish me not just with the depth of his impersonations but also the quality of his mimicry.

My biggest gripe is the mini-queue at the bottom of the page... I always expect that when I click the "More Comedy" etc. links, that it should go to a recent history of posted shows, but instead it goes to the big alphabetical index. Give us access to at least a week of backlog in those links, and I will be quite a bit happier. The site has a clean and is definitely navigable... while you are in no danger of losing a loyal listener over this, I feel the network's recent content explosion, while awesome, has far outpaced the site's humble layout beginnings.

Episode 52 β Itβs Your Choice To Suck A Dick

And yet, in four years' time, after things have not in fact turned to shit, they will continue constructing their fiction of victimization and rationalize America's continued existence as the result of their own efforts of resistance against their Socialist Islamist Communist Boogeyman. -
I am enjoying this show quite a bit... was Nocando subtly auto-tuned during the sad robot discussion, or was I imagining it? Clever if so, concerning (for my mental health state) if not. So I was going through my music collection today and realized that Nocando appears on a track from one of my favorite hip-hop artists, Busdriver (google searching reveals several other collaborative projects between them I'd never heard of! I am so out of the loop). Any chance you could get him in studio? He's one of the most unique guys I've ever heard, with a sensibility that would be right at home on this show. Lots of sardonic commentary on the hip-hop scene densely packed into most of his songs.

Here's the Letterman appearance they were talking about... not as spazzy dancing as I was expecting, but clip delivers on staring-into-the-camera-osity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J29Fz5Ndz6M
