  1. Just watched this movie today and loved it all over again.

I still see it as a 5 star cheese fest but that's why I see it as a "bad" (sorry for saying that again but I don't know how else to describe it) it's a good bad that we all love. It's why Catwoman sits on my shelf right next to the fast and furious movies. I'll likely not return to either but on the shelf they sit until a friend calls a bad movie night. I'll J&TPC and be claimed a hero for the good (great?) bad that this movie is.

  2. There was nothing about the casting, the names behind the scenes, the trailers, the promotion, etc. that got me excited. I know what you mean, you think Chun Li movie and your imagination runs wild, but nothing I knew about THIS movie, from what I saw of it going into it, gave me any hope whatsoever.

I was on board with some of the casting (well one of the castings) but after hearing more casting choices, you're right. I was out at that point but still held out some hope for good bad and not bad bad.

  3. How is that possible?!?!?! The high hopes part, I mean.

Chun-Li is a great character. Going back to the animated Street Fighter movie, she was fantastic and very well written.

An Americainized version could have great but the story line was terrible and the addition of horrible side characters made this movie bad.

If I were to do a Chun-Li movie, I would focus on her father dying and her training before she joins Interpol. My movie would end with her discovering the Bison murdered (or had ordered) her father's death.

Maybe have her first case be tracking Vega or Cammie.

Still a lot of holes for me to work through with that one but it sounds like a much better movie then what we were given.

  4. Bad movie doesn't mean unenjoyable movie. Paul, June, and Jason have enjoyed some of the movies they've talked about. I think the point of the show is to showcase the bad, but still watchable movies. Or in the very least movies you can talk over with friends making catty comments.

  5. I here and now retrack the statement of calling this movie bad.

After much soul searching and lengthy conversations with friends and peers, I realize that cheesy doesn't mean bad.

    This movie was cheesy.

Ms. Shannon, I hope you can forgive me for this mix up and with luck my next recommendation will be met with your praise.

  6. Now just to be clear, I like this movie, it's like Crank 2. We love this kind of movies because they are bad. This is my bad mood movie. Always makes me feel better.

And the fact that I got it for $3 from the bottom of bin make it that much better.

I did like some of the casting but some were a bit suspect.

Ps hated Dujour, I skip most of the opening because of them.

  7. It would help to give insight as well. My favorite episode is the punisher one, just for the simple fact that they had the director there.

I think it helps the audience to understand it a bit more when they have someone there who was there.

  8. This may be hitting close to the chest as I believe Paul was in it but it was just a big cheese fest. The predictable death scenes and lack of overall story made this a joy/pain to watch. I've seen this movie twice and both times was just to talk with everyone around me about the awfulness of it all.

  9. Lol sorry Josie. I can't believe I did that. Probably more than once.

But as I said I do like this movie, when I'm in a bad mood it makes me feel better. I've watched more times then I care to admit

However it is a cheesy movie and let's not pretend this was a bad movie.

  10. I will admit that I love this movie.

The reason I think this movie would be a great show is because of all the product placement and bad music. I get that the whole story revolved around the over use of labels and branding, but the governemnt using to recruit? a music executive's over the top need for popularity? a crap boy band? please stop me if you've heard enough because I can keep going.
