I'm afraid of what might happen if Sean hears about this podcast.

Don't get me wrong, Doughboys and Slumber Party are two of my all-time favorite podcasts (and I listen to as many Feral shows as Earwolf shows), but the political posturing is goofy.
-
Feral Audio is an "artists collective", which is a polite way of saying "flaky-as-hell hosts who disappear without warning for months at a time." While they've positioned themselves as anti-capitalist*, the reason they don't have advertisers is because advertisers demand consistent listenership. Kumail started doing Squarespace promos on The X-Files Files once he established a regular schedule. * Feral also signed with Art19, a service that injects new ads into old shows, allowing you to be both flaky and a filthy capitalist.

During Jason's geography rant, I hoped/expected him to say "They're going to Marblehead?! What, to hang out with Ronna and Beverly?!"

Episode 50 - Santa Fe Art Gallery
DanEngler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
So, is "Matt m'Gourley" (as heard during the JoCoCruise ad) now his canonical name, in the same manner as "Little Janet Varney"? -
My favorite part is the owner saying "good job" after the snake bellyflops. She sounds just sarcastic enough that I want to dub in Christian Bale going "OHHHH GOOD FOR YOU!" from his .

There's this.

Even Paul Feig doesn't sound like he's sure:

What a rubbish idea, Cameron. These threads are for Mistakes, Additions, Speculation, and Kittens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2Z1yLO9C-Q

Man, I really want to love this movie but…it feels like they've Jurassic World-ed another of my childhood favorites. Edit: I don't mean this in an idiotic "they ruined my childhood" way, just that they're relying too heavily on touchstones of the original film (character archetypes, theme song, direct quotes, ECTO-1, Slimer AKA Onion Head) to win me over on nostalgia alone. I hope it's solely for the trailer, but this permeated Jurassic World, so I fear the worst.

You know who the real asshole is? Anyone who gave Turbo Kid a bad review.

I don't disagree, which is why he's also been given some time off to think about what he's done.- 275 replies

Ahem. Someone must have spilled something in this thread, because I've just been forced to clean up a real mess. -
Dan Telfer (comedian, @midnight Twitter maestro, and Nerd Poker host) was just diagnosed with cancer. While his prognosis is good, the downtime required for recovery will place a huge burden on his wife and two daughters. If you're able to help out a Friend of The Show—even for as little as $1—please visit the donation page set up by Dan's family. They've already exceeded their initial goal thanks to endorsements from Scott, PFT, and many others, but medical expenses have a habit of escalating quickly. Thanks, friends!

Thanks, man! I spotted your name at the top of the donors list earlier. Dan is a genuinely good guy (evidenced by the fact that they received 2x their initial ask within 48 hours) and I hope this affords his family some peace of mind.

Sorry, stars are only awarded by earning the respect of your peers. For all my powers, even I can't make you a star. As long as I'm here, I'd like to give a shout-out to my fellow Doughboys Dough Version™ winner Tim Treese. Happy eatin', Tim!

Episode 47 - Pediatrician's Office
DanEngler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I have gone back and listened to Craig unveiling his deep voice/Paul and Janet losing their shit at least a dozen times. This instantly became one of my all-time favorite moments from any podcast. -
Do you have plans for The Book once it has been completely filled? Also, I noticed earlier in this thread that you said poor Eban had to lug his piano back and forth to the studio for every recording session. Is that still the case today?
