Please note that Mr. Tompkins has politely declined to answer questions about future guests.

Thanks! Added. Edited to add: I updated my post with a link for a new third NYC show on May 14.

Episode 222.5 - Ask the UCB: Playing Gay Improv Characters
DanEngler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Addendum: Will Hines followed up by posing this question to a number of LGBTQ improvisers, and shared some of their responses on his blog. -
Searching the Wilbur's Twitter feed for "presale", their codes are always "WT[day they tweet the presale code]", so it should be either WT9 or WT10. Edited to add: I updated my earlier post with a ticket link for the Austin show, fixed the early/late show links for NYC, and added a few presale codes that Scott posted on Twitter.

I've compiled a list of tour dates and ticket links here.

Technically, the new hundo won't be broken off until #401. See #201 with Jon Glaser and #301 with Jonah & Kumail.

This probably has something to do with the archaic belief that "left" carries a negative connotation. The word sinister, for example, historically means both "evil" and "on the left side".

NATE: It's like the bad guy from, what was it, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? The exposed brain? KULAP: Craig?

Good point, Cameron. I added another rule to the list.

I created a new thread where everyone can post questions for Paul. Go wild!
-
It was called "FYI", and Shariq Torres (RIPossible?) and Shannon devoted a lot of their time to it, and it was so infrequently used that it took months for anyone to notice it went offline. I agree 100% with Cameron H's assessment. The moment you feel beholden to votes rather than your own choices is the beginning of a downward trajectory where the show becomes homework instead of fun. Compare this to the final 6-9 months of Professor Blastoff, which were done out perceived obligation to listeners, and Tig and Kyle and David just sounded exhausted most of the time. We can set up a pinned Q&A thread in a few seconds, although as Fister Roboto mentioned, it would be good to have ground rules established in the first post to avoid a lot of unnecessary noise.

The forum hierarchy bears no reflection on the fate of the show, about which I have zero knowledge. This was just housekeeping to keep active shows (and perennial fan favorites) on top. If Mr. Posehn resurrects Nerd Poker, it'll take me 10 seconds to move it back.

Gimme that map!

Agreed! I'm really happy the guys had Jonah in, both to talk about his works-in-progress and to cover his portion of the 2015 music episode. Dude's success is well earned.

Zach seemed to really enjoy Lauren's performance, though, which I imagine is a great compliment toward Lauren.
-
Face it, folks: there will surely come a day when Lauren's burgeoning TV/movie career prevents her from creating new content for the podcast. As we approach the one-year anniversary of With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus, I figure now would be the time to start a "Best Of" list that could easily be assembled into clip show(s) if/when the need arises. What are your favorite bits from With Special Guest Year One? Please provide episode title and timecodes, if possible.

When this news broke, I wondered about the forum member who said they worked on Star Wars-branded board games. Hopefully, there were some employees who strenuously objected to Rey's omission, and they're now helping the manager who overruled them clean out his desk.

It's bad for women everywhere in the film industry.
-
Well, here's a compilation of all of the non-Leia female dialog from the original trilogy. 12 minutes of total screen time among Episodes I-VI might be generous. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODgwL7DJ9dY

Any list that doesn't begin with this little hottie is simply wrong.

How you gonna pick Han Solo as most fuckable when everybody knows that dude shoots first?
-
I'm starting a petition to get a character in the next Star Wars film named "Tay Loranne".

EPISODE 126 - The Star Wars Holiday Special
DanEngler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I considered this one, but every tool I tried to use to remove the latter half choked on the file size. Thanks, Internet!
