Get. Out. Edit: Harris's chief goal in life was to entertain others, even if it (frequently) required him to take the comedic bullet in the process. He embraced Phish's divisive nature and volunteered to host a podcast wherein he and his suspect taste in music were called into question. Who are you to tell Harris's actual friends how to properly memorialize him?

This was a lovely tribute, and I take comfort in knowing that Scott and Ku were in the studio to record their introductions together. Thank you again to Brett for the unenviable task of assembling all of this audio in the midst of losing a friend.

Eh, since there are two votes, I've just changed this into the official Edge of Darkness thread.

DanEngler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I must say, it's heartwarming to see so many people register new accounts just to share their memories of Harris. I hope all of you will stick around and keep his special brand of super-chill positivity and love of dick pics* alive. * Do not post dick pics.- 369 replies

EPISODE 336 — NOT Farts and Procreation 4
DanEngler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I spent the weekend listening to Harris's back catalog of podcast appearances and, coupled with being sick, I figured I had expelled all of the various fluids from my body. Seconds into this episode, I was immediately proven wrong. Thank you, Scott and Brett and July and Ele, for forging onward through this tragedy so that we can spend another 90 minutes with Harris. If I've learned anything over the past few days, it's that Earwolf feels kind of like family…and I like you guys more than a large swath of my actual family. Motherfuckers wanna laugh.- 369 replies

That voicemail is from an old Earwolf podcast called Eardrop. (Starts at 4:35)

Alison Rosen also reposted her interview with Harris (MP3, iTunes, RSS) for those in a listening mood. It's lighter than his WTF interview, and much lighter than You Made It Weird, but still touches on drug stuff. Mostly career and relationships and family, though.

It's explained in CBB #52 Introducing: The Japan Dogs, with Harris, Sarah Silverman, and Ben Schwartz. The conversation starts at 46:30.

From The Verge: One of my favorite podcast hosts died, and it feels like I lost a friend. Harris was loved well beyond the bounds of the comedy scene.

Thank you, Reggie. That's a beautiful, beautiful song. And, Harris, I don't know what you do here but you're a great, great person. — Eddie Pepitone Tommy Malone

Marc Maron reposted his interview with Harris for anyone who wants to listen.

I keep thinking about how hard it must have been for Scott to record the first episode of Comedy Bang Bang after Andrew Koenig died, and how hard this will undoubtedly be.
-
This is unthinkable. My heart goes out to Scott and Kulap and the hundreds of other friends whose lives Harris touched.

Episode 1602 - Andy Daly
DanEngler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
It was definitely Eliot. -
Lyra will live on in all of our hearts. Until our hearts are dissolved by the digestive enzymes that now comprise the bulk of her body, and her pink quivering mass slowly envelops the entire planet.

Episode 1602 - Andy Daly
DanEngler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
The only way they can top this is if Jimmy shows up in a suit next week to play Larry from 7-Eleven corporate and Matt rents a van with a fake sign repair logo on the side. Jesus Christ. -

EPISODE 335 — The Wedding of Gilli and Garry
DanEngler replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Shout out to Engineer Brett (presumably) for the pristine audio quality of Colin Hay's performances. Music on podcasts is so frequently a clipping-laden mess, it's remarkable when someone invests serious effort into getting it right. -

Any of the four episodes with Scott Aukerman. I love Scott's bemused fatherly rapport with Howard. #40 All About Lee, if only for the (now-missing) studio photos of Lee staring at Kulap's chest. The live VPN episode with Paul F. Tompkins. Paul making love to the camera, Howard trying to explain Shredstaurant (and Paul's competing theramin-based establishment), a visit from Lee, and Howard's definition of steampunk. #115 Bizarro. Ku's versions of the chart themes and Howard's reaction to them. #187.5 Two Charted. The debut of "Gu Cruise" and Kulap's reaction to it. #139.5 Two Charted. The solo bolo between Howard and Brett, where Brett's ascendance to unofficial third host began.

Earwolf is already on the case! -
They could definitely bring back the Chart Piñata segment. Watching Sir Mix-A-Lot beat a Justin Bieber piñata on the first live Whooch (in Seattle) was nothing short of breathtaking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJOa93_PkZk
