Maybe next year I'll be mortally wounded Jim in a beautiful lawyer suit.

Was so happy to hear one of my favorite comic book writers on one of my favorite podcasts talking about one of my least favorite superhero movies. Hooray!

H Jon Benjamin would be great.

Man I really wish I could watch this documentary, but don't have HBO. Great episode, I love when Matt goes in on some serious stuff on the show, it's one of my favorite things about this podcast and what I think sets it apart from other comedy shows.

This costume took months of preparation; constantly telling everyone I knew to watch Miami Connection so I wouldn't have to explain who I was on Halloween.

Happy Halloweeeeeen!

Episode 252 — The Creeeeeeepy Halloween Special

Constructive criticism is cool, but I think it's rarely ever seen on these boards. "Booo this isn't what I expected!" isn't really a constructive criticism really. It would actually be cool to see people be criticial in a supportive way, instead of essentially just heckling. Anyway, I enjoyed this episode, I love Steven Yeun, he needs to be on more. Paul Rust is a favorite of mine, I was a little disappointed we didn't get any New No No's, I think it would've made the episode a little stronger if Dr. Traygo "left" for a bit and Paul "came in" and did some New No No's, they could've been spooky Halloween themed New No No's! -
Oh my! Got a big Birdemic vibe from it. Stiff acting, terrible effects, a hamfisted message of some sort.

The eternal question, do dogs have brains? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08RFTI9QR20 -
Oh yeah, but this movie... what the hell is going on? I was wondering why Frankenstein is super strong, and he also doesn't look like he's made from dead body parts of random people, he looks like one fit handsome guy who needed a lot of stitches.

Let's Kickstart this movie immediately, that actually sounds really cool.

Love this movie. I just love that the hero is a little badass black kid who is brave and selfless.

"Because You Watched..." Netflix suggestions that miss the mark

Give some stupid gore flicks you DO like 5 stars. Working at Netflix is honestly the best place I've ever worked. No bullshit. -

11 to 12 isn't necessarily kid oriented stuff, most things rated PG will fall under that umbrella, so you could've been watching Arrested Development or whatever. For the best results you have to rate stuff often, especially stuff you don't like. -
I think there'd be an HR problem at my company's costume party.

Strongly considering being the black guy for Halloween. All I need is the Dragon Sound shirt, fake mustache, and wayfarers

Really love me some MST3K, I remember getting up early to watch it, I think on Sundays. I felt like I had found some hidden gem. It's cool to see how much of a loyal fan following it has, because back in the day I felt like I was the only fan of the show, NOBODY ever knew what I was talking about. Although some fans think it's overhyped, The Final Sacrifice is definitely my favorite, it's the movie I put on anytime I wanted to introduce a friend to the show, and they always love it. "Rowsdower!"

I bought the soundtrack and I listen to this track all the time on my ipod. I think it's a really unironically enjoyable catchy song.

When it was re-released it really blew up, I think the fact that it's more fun then groan worthy made it really popular really quickly. When it was screened out here in LA everyone was talking about it, that's how I found out about it.

"Because You Watched..." Netflix suggestions that miss the mark

I'm going to be starting a new job doing customer service for Netflix in the near future, so I imagine I'm going to get pretty acquainted with it's ills. I've never had to choose between regular Netflix and Kid's Netflix, when I start maybe I'll look into that. -
Well I think at this point any character they do now is going to be kinda risky because pretty much all of the superheroes that are household names to general audiences have already been exhausted. But I feel like after all the success they've had it might not matter if the characters themselves are a draw or not, because people are now going to go see a Marvel movie the same way they go to see a Pixar movie, all they have to do is make sure they make a movie that doesn't disappoint. It also helps that these movies all occupy the same universe so you're going to have those people who have enjoyed the films up to this point and don't want to miss a piece of the puzzle.

Nah, that's absurd, Iron Man and Thor have never been "b-comic characters", Darkhawk and Tigra are b-comic characters, Iron Man and Thor have always been prominent Marvel characters, Avengers mainstays, integral in events, their own merchandise, and popular enough to have their own titles for decades. To outsiders, yeah, probably not household names, but very well known to people who read Marvel. Anyway, I saw the World's End again, and I still love it, I still don't think it has as many laughs at the other two, but I don't mind that at all, it is it's own movie with it's own tone and great for what it is.

Saw this last night and loved. For me it wasn't AS funny as the previous 2 films, but still a lot of fun and I was surprised at how great the action sequences were. Also, Scott Pilgrim is one of my favorite movies of all time, I can't wait to see what Wright does with Ant-Man. I think he's the perfect person to take a character like that who general audiences don't know and probably think is silly conceptually, and make it something really fun. I would not be surprised if he makes the best solo Marvel movie to date.
