Oh yeah, that was really good. All the other new ones have had weird, specific stuff that wouldn't really fit as permanent themes, but this one definitely could.

Oh, that's weird, earlier today they said it would be Ronna & Bev. Anyway, next week will be I4H.

Episode 103 — LIVE from LA Podfest
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Dream team! Great episode top to bottom. Psyched to hear that Joe is going to be on Playing House, too. -
Episode 59 — What a story, Mark!

Despite being in "the 1%", I enjoyed this. -
What's bothering you?
Kickpuncher replied to MichaelStanford's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Yes! Fucking inexcusable. I'm kind of baffled at how lousy people are at driving on the whole. -
I'm willing to write it off as a London souvenir and give him a pass.

Yeah, Howard had a rare miss with this one, and it was somewhat surprising since he seems to like the Smiths/Morrissey. Speaking of unexpected opinions from Wie, "I've got nothing against non-Summah." WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?!? Who does Russell Crowe think he is, Todd Glass?
-
Cool, I was hoping it would be on AMC since they air a ton of horror movies in October. Given the level of gore on The Walking Dead, I hope they don't edit it too heavily.

Zouks fans might be out in the cold, but we still get 2/3 of our HDTGM gang fix today with Paul on Who Charted and June (and Casey Wilson) on Nerdist.

By the way, I doubt Kyle ever reads this, but for anyone else who was curious about the Gravity thing (not really a spoiler, but if you're super sensitive about that sort of thing, maybe moveon.org) - No, they don't usually do untethered spacewalks. Clooney's character was testing out a new jet-pack.

Good call, drosheim. Based on another backstage photo that Stephanie was in and some of the stuff Tig said on You Made it Weird, I had a feeling this might be the case, but nothing seemed too definitive, and it was indeed weird that they never mentioned her name on DLM despite her apparently coming up on stage.

... I just got that. Great episode. The thought of being able to own my very own Punky Corn has me giddy with anticipation.

I can't believe that Scott didn't say "side by side" when he said that a man would have a vagina for five days before giving birth to a burrito, but then allude to it mere minutes later. Bob has a real way with catchphrases.

Earwolf needs to stop giving up on their podcasts!!!
Kickpuncher replied to tim atkin's topic in General Earwolf
How dare you get involved with super talented people who are in demand in the entertainment industry and can't commit to recording a podcast every week in perpetuity! -
I just hope you didn't look into your rearview while you saw stars, because that would have really compounded the situation. Hat on a hat, if you will.

Or time constraints with the studio, or any number of other things. I don't think consciously trying to get through the show quickly implies being "checked out". As long as she left time for this gem, it's all good: "Don't ever look at yourself in a mirror when you're on drugs." "What did you see?" "The monkey from Aladdin high on bath salts."

Episode 101 — Coma Counting
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Right. It sounded like "Acai", but "Asahi" makes more sense in context, and the weird pronunciation is explained by them intentionally pronouncing things weirdly in that segment for comedic effect. -

Episode 58 — Mystical Sex
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
Yes, all of this. Fantastic episode. -
This was so great. Can't get enough of Lauren on CBB, he she nails it every time. And as usual, an awesome job by Scott of keeping up with all the weird places this one went.

OK, good. I guess my brain was convoluting what actually happened with how they described it on the podcast and how she sliced the white gorillas in half.

I just thought of something else regarding the laser blowing up the satellite. Someone mentioned that she had really good aim, and someone countered that the satellite position had actually been locked in as the target somehow. That's what happened, but if you think about it, that makes no sense at all. She's not shooting a missile or something that can change its path and go toward a locked-in target. It's LIGHT which is just going to go in a STRAIGHT LINE, meaning it has to be perfectly aimed from the source. "Locking it in" on a target would have to be done with some sort of electro-mechanical aiming system, not a person's arm and shoulder.

I'm glad two people have brought up "These monkeys don't know which way is up!", because that was my favorite line of the show by far. Can someone please memify this? Great episode all around. This movie was completely batapeshit, and it lent itself to HDTGM perfectly. I feel like they could have gone on for two hours and still not hit everything that was worth mentioning. So, the thing about diamonds being used for lasers and how goofy that is? The really crazy part is that this is the SECOND movie they've done where the villain (or, specifically, one of multiple villains) needed diamonds to power some villainous MacGuffin, after Mr. Freeze in Batman & Robin.

Howard's struggle to even get in the same neighborhood city state as an impression he was regularly doing (and reasonably well) a year ago was one of the funniest things in this episode.

Episode 57 — Public Access Nonsense
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
Jake should outsource it to Howard Kremer so he can sell it on eBay.
