Episode 137.5 — 07/19/13 TWO CHARTED 76
Kickpuncher replied to Brett Arnold's topic in Who Charted?
Agree. It's not that the guests aren't good, just that we already get that every week, and Tooch usually has a unique vibe. That said, I still enjoyed this episode a lot, and they've managed to keep that Tooch vibe pretty well intact the last two weeks. -
I think you mean "IT'S BEEN". Counting this week's VPN episode, this is the first of two straight episodes featuring two cast members of network sit-coms that were canceled this year, which is kind of weird.

Episode 7 — Zach Galifianakis
Kickpuncher replied to admin's topic in By The Way, In Conversation with Jeff Garlin
I haven't listened to the Rollins episode yet, so maybe I'm giving Jeff too much credit; I agree that he does what you're saying, and it can be annoying at times, but I don't mind it too much, and I don't think he's necessarily more guilty of it than other host of quasi-interview-based podcasts. I can definitely see how someone's tolerance for that is directly proportional to how much they actually like the host (as opposed to just listening for the guests). -
Oh God, this video.

Seth's thing at the end of that store scene was fantastic.

Seth Morris!

Hmm, no guest hints from Earwolf or Matt on Twitter. Haven't tuned in for the last couple VPN shows, but I think I'm in for this one.

Episode 232 — LIVE from San Diego Comic-Con
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
START THE CLOCK! All those songs from the '50s that Sha-Na-Na sang were about people in their fifties. Rust and Daly were both great as usual, awesome episode. -
Episode 7 — Zach Galifianakis
Kickpuncher replied to admin's topic in By The Way, In Conversation with Jeff Garlin
The show title includes the word "conversation", which I'm almost sure was done to make it clear that it's NOT meant to be a proper interview, thus giving him a little more leeway for the sort of thing you're talking about. -
I had forgotten about it until you just reminded me! (But seriously, I actually don't remember what the name was.)

Episode 232 — LIVE from San Diego Comic-Con
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Whoa! Wasn't expecting a bonus episode today, wasn't expecting the SDCC episode to be released at all, and certainly wasn't expecting it to be released mere hours after it happened. Throw in Daly and Rust and this day can't possibly end fast enough so that I can get out of work and listen. -
Not only that, but John Carter was originally called "John Carter of Mars", and the Carpenter movie is often called "John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars", so those versions of the names are nearly identical. Anyway, yeah, great episode!

They announced a sequel today.

Absolutely! Man, Tig is really havin' a Summah, isn't she?

Those were my two most-wanted memes from this episode, so nice job! Another great June line (which was too long to meme): "It posited a world I don't want to live in, Sharknado or no." I also love that she said "shark tornado" multiple times. Given that they kept the beach open after the initial attacks, I have to wonder if this takes place in a reality in which Larry Vaughn moved west and was elected mayor of Santa Monica.

That opening story was pure County gold.

Episode 89 — Authentic Redneck Dialect
Kickpuncher replied to Brett Arnold's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Great, episode, especially the YouTube clips/scenes at the end which were all incredible. The "Funny Besser Crowd Voice" makes an appearance! I think Mookie (or maybe Joe) did a voice in the redneck zombie scene which sounded very Huell Hoswerian. -

List of Scott's Frequently Repeated Phrases
Kickpuncher replied to RyanCampbell's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I heard the phrase "shock rocker" today, and all I could think of was Scott saying "A SHOCKING ROCK AND ROLL MUSICIAN?!" -
I love it anytime a podcast leaves an obvious edit point in recording and then they forget to actually edit it out.

Episode 66 — Demolition Man: LIVE!
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
You do "RC", but Leil's math is right - that's roughly one per day. -
I don't have kids and haven't seen most of the movies they were talking about, so I don't want to put out an uninformed opinion on the topic in general, but I do think Andy's take on Monsters Inc. was a little backward. It's been ~10 years since I've seen it, so I might not be remembering it well, but I think rather than "it has monsters and therefore is scary", the whole point of it is to demystify and make light of the idea of monsters and the nature of fear.
