Episode 84 - Mario and Cappy Have An Existential Crisis (w/ Jessica McKenna, Zach Reino)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hard Nation
I've listened to two podcasts in the last four days where Jess has brought up Universal's Dark Universe and made fun of it, so I think she has magical powers or something - http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/alex-kurtzman-chris-morgan-exit-universal-monsterverse-1055854 -
Episode 137 - Hardware Store (w/ Oscar Nunez, Shulie Cowen, Matt Gourley)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Between "Buttermilk 2000" and the Platoon mural, the depth of Gourley's weirdness continues to amaze. -
Episode 16 - Front Page Boos (w/ Lennon Parham)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Off Book: The Improvised Musical
"Welcome to Corn Talk with Zach and Jess!" I'm starting to think that Dagmar the Small doesn't get her aerial abilities from hollow bones, but because she's a...V-V-V-VAMPIRE! -
Howard asking if Billy Ocean ever did anything "untoward" and the resulting conclusion might be the #1 highlight of the on-going one-man ocean vs. space 'debate'.

Episode 1 - Nikki Glaser

Episode 136 - High School Reunion (w/ Busy Philipps, Ryan Gaul, Tawny Newsome, Sarah Burns)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I know that Paul is a much better interviewer than me, because when Busy said that she was unpopular and did drugs in high school, I would have said "Sounds like you were a bit of a freak!" and then gotten up and done a celebratory dance around the room. -
Episode 517 - Aha Moments with The National
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I don't know if I'm ever in awe of a CBB guest more than when Tiny interrupts Victor mid-sentence. -
Episode 047: License To Kill with Marc Bernardin
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in James Bonding
The only thing that would be better is if they played Goldeneye on N64. -
Episode 515 - Return to Suicide House Part 666
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
That was six and a half years ago. -
Episode 138 - Paul F. Tompkins: The North Pod: The Christmas Before Halloween
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
YES "O.J.!" -
Fantastic!

Episode 515 - Return to Suicide House Part 666
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Because it's not that kind of show. -
Episode 515 - Return to Suicide House Part 666
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Scott's exasperated "Swamp Thing?!" is my favorite annual tradition. His repeated attempts to tee up "I was working in the lab late one night" (and Daly's obliviousness) made me LOL every time. -

Episode 137 - Stephanie Allynne, Mary Holland, Erin Whitehead: The NeighBooHood Watch

Two straight weeks of Wild Horses on Earwolf plus Promo F Tompkins = C+ episode -

Episode 312 - Flute Scandal
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
"Why can't you cum into local kids' flutes?" As heard at the end, Wild Horses are the champions of call-backs. It feels like there's one or two incredible ones every time they're on. -
"...Judy Garland, hammered." "Or Mike Hammer, judied!" "E.T. no FOMO" feels like an amazingly deep call-back that was probably only a slightly deep call-back at the time.
-
"I still haven't found what I'm looking for...you." You talkin' you to me? "Deadly veer-'em-offs" is a first-ballot hall of fame Kremerism.

Episode 80 - Sarah Huckabee Sanders Can Bench 550 (w/ Pamela Murphy)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hard Nation
I hope we get a father-daughter episode with Mike and Sarah. He could try out new material and she could read letters from children asking Netflix to give him a stand-up special. -
Episode 13 - Attorney At Love (w/ Nicole Parker)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Off Book: The Improvised Musical
Amazing! Shout-out to Zach for actually having thought of the show name before the words started coming out of his mouth. -
I hope we get cross-over ad read episodes every year when we're four inches deep in Octy Doggy.
-
Episode 135 - Beth Stelling: Parenting Made Easy
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Great ep! Beth's episode(?) of The Standups on Netflix is excellent. -
Sounds about right. When he originally switched, I couldn't imagine anyone possibly being willing to pay for that show, despite its charms.
