Episode 85.5 β Bonus Cut: Yo, Is "Yo, Is This Racist?" Racist?
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
It was funny how Matt was talking about states with names that are funny to say, and said that people don't like "Illinois" because of the silent S, while seemingly ignoring that Arkansas also has it. [Granted, he did mention the "Comedy K" sound in Arkansas, which would still make it funnier, but still.] I know this wasn't technically Case Closed, but it felt similar, and had the same sort of thing where regardless of how you feel about the topic and hand, the ensuing scene is almost always a home run. -
http://www.lamag.com/killer/ Oddly enough, there's a photo on that main page that appears to have been taken in the Earwolf studio.

Fun episode. Hey Kiddo should try to get a hold of bonerjamz.com.

Episode 12 β Judd Apatow
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in By The Way, In Conversation with Jeff Garlin
I can't believe that Judd told a story about having sex with a nurse and Jeff didn't say "Goodnight, nurse!" -
Yeah, This is the End is great.

ZOOM! -
Yeah, I eventually figured it out, thanks. It would be nice if the link that Earwolf tweets out would go directly to the live show if the main URLs don't do it.
-
How? I'm still not getting it on youtube/vpn or /earwolf.
-
Yeah, same here.
-
Yeah, I think that was the best one, but this one had a larger panel and everyone was good. Or, put another way, Scott was 1/5 of this one rather than 1/3.

Episode 40 β Boy, Am I Glued!
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
Jake Fogelnest saying the words "Fuck 9/11, this is important!" in regard to "We Didn't Star the Fire" a public forum delights me to no end. On the eagle video, Shelby said "there's a tiny chart inside the egg." Was that a Hooch reference? Awesome episode. I would love an alternate version of TFF in which Shelby was a co-host in a sort of cross-generational copy of Analyze Phish. -
Possibly the best all-around performance by a panel on a freestyle rap battle yet.

Episode 85 β Animal Lovers
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
When I saw this line-up, I immediately wondered if I missed that this was a VPN episode. Every bit as good as expected, and then some. -
I'd dare say that the guest's reactions to the various themes is an underrated highlight of almost every episode. Awesome show, Patton is so great.
-
Yeah, when I heard him say "everything on this planet has evolved to kill humans", I totally checked out. Not only for the reason you mentioned, but also because (I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure) such extreme evolution doesn't really happen on a scale of 1,000 years.

Yeah, Kyle was kind of annoying for a big chunk of the episode, but I think he managed to pee it out. Really fun episode overall.

Great episode. I was a little skeptical when a lot of people said the movie was just boring and wouldn't make great HDTGM fodder, but all fears were allayed when PFT's face greeted me on the main page. And everyone delivered the goods. I don't know the exact quote, but I thought the most meme-able moment was "Guys, does this make me a Scientologist?"

Someone posted the live sex show story in the CBB section and pointed out that it's a "real life Don DiMello", so mentioning Monsters University here in relation to it was a pretty amazing bit of unintentional synergy.

Hard to say, but my understanding was that he had recently sent an invite to Brian, and Brian responded during the show, so Scott mentioned it since they had already discussed Brian on the show. Anyway, I thought it was a delightful episode. Obviously the usual character episodes are great, but I agree that a change of pace is nice sometimes, and I thought Seth was a great guest since he was able to semi-seriously discuss his movie, but was also totally on board with the goofier stuff, and was funny and personable throughout. I was also glad to finally hear the return of What Am I Thinking? and FMK.

Episode 84 βDouble or Nothing
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
You mean Maron? (MAH-RONE!) -
The only way the story could be better is if it was delivered by Rod Wood.

Episode 84 βDouble or Nothing
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Did Jeff and Scott send out a memo stipulating that every Earwolf show has to cover that carnival story? Good episode, especially impressed with Todd, who I wasn't aware does improv other than the usual silliness on his show referenced above. -
Episode 39 β The Documentary Files
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
I would put this in the clip submission thread, but I can't imagine it fitting in any other episode, so I'll put it here. Jake, I assume you've seen this, yes? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBud2fmQwK0 -
I loved this. It reminded me of my favorite exchange from the Douche Minutia promo... "What could you chew on?" "You could chew Summah Gum." "Ooh!"
