This week is going to be amazing. I saw Cloud Atlas and actually liked it (at least 5/6 of it), but the race/gender-bending make-up was not only poorly done (in most cases), but needlessly gimmicky since there wasn't really any common thread or recurring traits among, say, all of Tom Hanks' characters.

Cool, thanks Jeff! -
Episode 17 — CBB Nativity Pageant Special

I was wondering that too. It was especially confusing that PFT dropped a rare F-bomb and it wasn't bleeped. Really great show, good mix of sincere comments, memories, and pure fun. I'd imagine that this will be amazing for Scott, the other comedians, and fans of the live show to go back and listen to years down the road. -
Episode 37 — Homecoming & White Flight

To answer a question raised in this episode, Florida State is also in Tallahassee. I'm surprised Nick didn't know that since he seems to be a football fan. -
Yes, he absolutely does! I couldn't quite put my finger on it, and I was at least on the Blastoff track in thinking he sounded a little like David, but it's definitely Craig that I was thinking of.

If someone asked me to describe the delightful genius/lunatic that is Howard Kremer, I would simply play this episode for them.

The voices are similar, but I'm pretty sure the Native American and the old "warms her heart" guy are two separate characters.

I can't think of what it is, but I'm 99% sure that German has a different word for 'hunt'. And '-berg'/'-burg' is usually just a town name...so it probably just means "person from a town called Huntsberg". So happy to hear another riddle. It had been too long. When Tig asked why her album is #1 in Greece, my first thought was that the people there are grateful that Grease is one of the three movies she's seen.

Amazing episode. I think Herzog is my favorite PFT character. Oh, who am I kidding, they're all my favorite. If Scott sings "Wipe-Out" in every ad from now on, I promise to buy a product or service from every Earwolf sponsor.

Episode 56 — Best of improv4humans Vol. 2
Kickpuncher replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
I guess I wasn't really paying full attention to that one the first time I heard it, because holy shit, that was amazing, and I didn't remember most of the funniest stuff even though it was recent. On a similar note, was the pregnancy scene from one of the very early episodes? I had absolutely no recollection of that one at all. -
Well, yeah, sometimes. Though to be fair, Lesnar never tested positive and I believe he would have been tested for all of his fights since they were all title fights and/or main events. But to your point, I'm sure that label got applied to Mark McGwire pretty frequently in the late '90s.

Great episode, but I don't know how "Murky Gender Games" wasn't chosen as the title. Classic line.

It's rarer, but white athletes do get called "freak of nature" and the like. One example of that phrase being thrown around liberally that I can think of off the top of my head was when Brock Lesnar fought in UFC.

On today's Nerdist pod, Chris referred to vomiting as "throw-em-ups", which can only be explained by direct exposure to Howard's vocal quirks (which were, coincidentally, discussed on today's Tooch).

Episode 50 — Twilight Breaking Dawn Pt 2

Bravo! AMAZING episode, possibly my favorite HDTGM ever. Since Paul brought it up and they couldn't get it here, ten or fifteen minutes from June would be great for the next minisode. -
I can't believe Kulap hadn't seen the Gersberms video. Fun episode, Howard and Chris make a great combo.

Tig stealing nails might be my favorite Li'l Tig Tale yet.

"Was he wearing the Reading Rainbow uniform?...Was he wearing the Roots uniform?" CLASSIC Choctaw. Marissa officially became a woman the first time she and Scott simultaneously said "My wife".

I was hoping for the usual ~90-minute show to accompany my ~100-minute drive back home this morning, but as usual for the interview-only episodes, this was great. So many fond memories of Dr. Katz, and I'm sure I'd appreciate it and enjoy it exponentially more now than I did as a teenager. I was thinking it was on Netflix Instant, but unfortunately not, and the DVD set is a surprisingly high $48 on Amazon.

If anyone was wondering, the opening song (briefly discussed but not named) is "Long Vows" by Band of Horses.
