Yeah, Milana is super funny. I'm sure she makes a lot of money from the AT&T commercials, but it kind of sucks that 99% of people will only ever know her as "the AT&T girl".

I really like Stranger Things, and I gave it a high rating on Netflix. So, Netflix recommends that I watch The OA since it's another sci-fi show of theirs. Every bit of evidence tells me that I won't like The OA, so it's pretty easy to just ignore this recommendation. It would be really weird if they decided to put the main character from The OA in an episode of Stranger Things' next season even though it wouldn't fit and might cause the characters from Stranger Things to act differently than they normally do. Anyway, the part about the "Bowling Green Massacre" was pretty funny.

Great ep! It was so weird to hear Howard being the one trying to keep the show moving. Would have been happy to let this one breathe a bit more, but I'm guessing someone (or the studio) had a scheduling issue.

Episode 98 - A Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland (w/ Nyima Funk, Daniele Gaither, Gary Anthony Williams, Cedric Yarbrough)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Maybe it was soon as of the time of recording? I don't have a sense of when the last few episodes were recorded. Also, great episode! -
The Chief segment was incredible. Didn't Hodgman tell that same story on the Pod F. Tompkast (RIPossible)?

For anyone wondering about the Matt Barnes - Derek Fisher issue, Barnes' supposed beef was with the fact that Fisher was spending time with his kids (why he had a specific problem with that, I don't know), so he knew through them that Fisher was dating his ex, and that's what he went to confront them about.

Yep, same here.

"Hey, nice tits." "Thanks!" "Your body is a wonderlaaand" "Uh, gross!" -
Episode 44 - Alex Jones Bleeds Blood (w/ Henry Zebrowski)

I cum cum. -
I believe there's a Facebook group for it, and Chris seems to have adopted that as the semi-official venue for discussion.

Angry, unhinged Pete is somehow taking HN to even higher levels of insanity. -
Episode 97 - A Family-Owned Bagel Shop (w/ Cameron Esposito, Jeremy Carter, Colleen Smith, Gary Anthony Williams)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
"Beach Boys songs have the statistics on that different." Weird coincidences that today's CBB and Spont both featured discussions of bagels and Scott/Paul not being able to say a certain word in the Blue Apron ad. -
If a character has only appeared on live eps, I really wish that Scott would give the character's backstory, largely because Scott giving a character's backstory is always extremely funny. Anyway, great ep! Loved all the little nuggets (Scott humming "It's Been a While", "my wife", Lennon's guitar) getting dropped throughout.

It's hilarious when people act like it isn't even an option to just not buy the newest iPhone.

"The realest thing you've said so far." Love you, Scotty!

Much better than the alternative, i.e. Erin dying. (R.I.Possible Oprah.) "That drunk fox" and Erin's Sherlock impression were some definite best-of moments. I feel like someone made a bet with Kulap that she couldn't say "disrupt" on ten straight episodes, and she's about to cash in.

Yeah, my thought was that comedians pretty much interrupt other comedians (and non-comedian guests, which bothers me more) on podcasts all the time, although it probably is men doing the interrupting (toward either gender) more often.

TRACI! Great to have Lauren back on through the magic of recording technology. It would be so amazing if someone ever made an animated video of Traci's AFV winner.

Eps 13 & 22 are among my faves, too. Ep #33 - Paul F. Tompkins: The North Pod with Santa Claus (Paul F. Tompkins) Ep #52 - Jon Gabrus: Intern Gino Lambardo's Drive Time Radio Show (Jon Gabrus) Ep #64 - Eliza Skinner: Post-Apodcastlypse (Eliza Skinner) Ep #72 - Claudia O'Doherty: I'm Sorry I've Been Catfishing You (Claudia O'Doherty) Ep #80 - Jason Mantzoukas: What Went Wrong? (Jason Mantzoukas) B-B-B-BONUUUS-s-s-s picks - North Pod 2, any episode with any or all Wild Horses

Episode 273 - Bo Bice Lives Matter (feat. the Angry Elmo)
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Damn, this was so good. Did anyone else notice how similar the collective answers were for "Have you ever dropped your phone in the toilet?" and "Were you ever suspended from school?" I don't know if they intentionally did it to be funny, but either way, it was amazing. My only complaint is that the episode should have been titled "A Bo Bice-Shaped Hole". -

Kulap can't remember why she and Howard went to Griffith Observatory with a Chartist. This would seem to confirm my suspicions about the status of Origin Story.

Episode 41 - Casey Affleck & Viggo Mortensen Are Sad and Mad (w/ Dan Klein, Kelly Hudson)

"...the female form." "Viggo Mortensen, making the air boobies." -
Maybe it's just me, but for me, I was pretty surprised that he never referred to the cast as "My Three Sons". This episode made me LOL no less than 5 times.

A message from Earwolf's CEO about yesterday's episode de-publishing
Kickpuncher replied to ErikDiehn's topic in General Earwolf
Because it often provides an easy explanation for why things aren't always exactly how you want them to be.
