I just got through the interview portion, and I wanted to check in and say that it may have been my favorite guest interview ever.

Ele is the best "host" and April is the best "Howard wrangler". Emily Gordon is a good balance of the two.

I think I started listening weekly at that point, and also listening to some of the back episodes, but I actually still haven't listened to all of them.

That's an awfully high bar, but it was pretty great. (And from a philosophical standpoint, I think the answer is yes, because of the amount of happiness they've brought to people, regardless of whether or not God is above liking or not liking music.)

"Clumsy portmanteau" and "sniveling worm" make me laugh every time.

Lennon is one of my favorite characters because in addition to all the crazy character stuff in the foreground, Hanford has a really high rate of funny background comments like this if you listen closely.

I feel you. I thought I would feel that way after the election, and I was glad that they did an old-timey episode immediately after, but I've started feeling the opposite. I think my best attempt to rationalize it would be that this show is pretty much the only thing in comedy right now that goes so far into the realm of insanity that it consistently gets more insane than reality.
