Such a great episode. Listening to last week's episode, it became clear pretty early that it had been recorded before Rocky died, and then I wasn't even thinking about it this week, but the tribute at the end was wonderful. Kate's closing comment congratulating everyone who made it on the charts was the most characteristically adorable thing ever.

Episode 45 - Jurassic World with Lauren Lapkus
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in I Was There Too
YES! I just caught some parts of Jurassic World on HBO the other night and it reminded me that I've been eagerly anticipating this since the movie came out. -

I wonder if they sell juice at this concession stand. -

Imagining...imagining...Very good! And this was even better! Two best would-be-titular lines ever: "Six 'Tents None the Richer" "Take it to ScrubHub" Also, the funniest aside by John that no one even heard, or at least didn't acknowledge, re. "disemboweled" - "That's the last thing you want to have happen to your bowels!" "(Have 'em dissed.)" And in closing, I watched all of One Mississippi last night, and it's really good. If you're very familiar with Tig, then the first ~half will feel sort of like watching a well-made movie adaptation of a book you've read, but then the second half branches out a bit more. -
I don't even remember how Meatloaf got brought up, but the tangent in which one or both of the Sklars basically knew his entire bio, and there were at least a half-dozen funny riffs about him was pretty much the quintessential Sklarbro.

Hiller saying "I made-a the sauce" without any change in tone or affect might be my favorite I4H moment of the year.

Episode 76 - A Summer Theatre Camp in Michigan (w/ Nicole Parker, Shulie Cowen, Mark McConville, Tawny Newsome)

I'm sure this 8-paragraph message board post will cause Paul to re-think his entire approach to in-person credit card transactions. -

Sadly, I think you might be wrong. (Or if I'm wrong, someone please point it out so I can go back and listen again.) Speaking of signature voices, Tawny's dude voice is remarkably similar to Colleen Smi's dude voice. Great, super-silly episode. -
Episode 94 - Marcy Jarreau, Nicole Byer: Love, Love, and More Love

Yep, it's been visible in episode photos with "call-ins" before. Seeing something that's actually shaped like a phone makes it more fun, somehow. (Photographic evidence from the Tim Baltz episode - http://www.earwolf.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/IMG_1545-162x162.jpg) -
It's been a while! Really missed that Scott & Scott vibe. I'm glad that Will managed to get the intended point of his character out from the get-go.

Yeah, I didn't get what she was making fun of. I thought maybe he said it some other weird way the first time, because I thought it was reasonably well known that the version with "tall" at the end is technically correct.

Me too! If I listen to a podcast while I'm traveling, it tends to stick in my brain a bit more than usual, and that was my experience with Whooch #1. I can't believe it's been almost six years. Great ep, Agee is such a good guest.

Well, there was a hook to his character in his first appearance which they touched on in the intro here; they probably just decided that it didn't work that great but the character was funny anyway. I actually think it's even funnier (mostly because it's just so weird) that he's doing an accent and there's nothing else inherently foreign about the character. The idea that he came here to escape gambling debts, and Scott suckering him into a bet, was really funny. Anyway, good ep. The vocal performance alone made Neptuna pretty amazing.

"Can you have a mean with just two numbers?" Congrats Mississippi, you're up to #49! Good ep, loved the subway inner thoughts scene. -
Episode 22 - Gabby Douglas & Ryan Lochte Get Bacon (w/ Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Drew Tarver)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hard Nation
Drew's Lochte sounded a lot like Will Forte. I could listen to Mark Pete saying "Bubba the Love Sponge" on a loop for hours. -

Any time we can get copious amounts of Chris singing Morrissey/Smiths songs, it's a solid episode in my book. -
I listened to the last segment later, and the timing of this episode was perfect for me. I watched Keanu last weekend, and one of the climactic scenes takes place in an old building with a weathered sign in the background that says...Rock-Afire Explosion! I had no idea what it meant. Unfortunately it looks like the documentary isn't on Netflix anymore, but it is (presumably illegally) on YouTube.

DUELING SKLORNES! I'm glad "Jodie" got credit this episode, she was really funny on Country.

I think she was an ancestor of the genteel Southern hyperchicken lawyer from Futurama. Great ep! -
As great as Zouks is at interacting with characters, his opening segments are always so great that I'm really hoping for an eventual Solo Bol-nong Man episode. Nice job weaving Desmond and Maxwell into the narrative.
