Great ep. This might be the most focused and engaged I can ever remember Howard being during a guest intro/interview segment.

Episode 73 - The King of Prussia Mall on Opening Weekend
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
If someone ever makes a supercut of "Funniest Eban Moments", Paul immediately shutting down "Piano Man" has to be on there. -
Episode 73 - The King of Prussia Mall on Opening Weekend
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
You're missing two exclamation points! You know what wasn't missing? Anything from this episode, because it was basically perfect. -
Gino and Todd were a wonderful combo. Their interactions were like the ice cream in the delicious sandwich of Scott donuts. Maybe this is just my perception of Matt as an "improv guy" spilling over, but I feel like every time he's on CBB, his prepared character stuff isn't funny, but when he gets into the flow of improvising with the the other guests/characters, his true ability shines through.

Since then, he's been working on the final season of Review. Even thought it's an abbreviated season, he's involved in every aspect of production, so I'm sure it keeps him plenty busy.

Episode 91 - Tim Baltz: Breaking Fast with Todd Nosher
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
So good. Tim's radio host persona was pretty spot-on. Lauren's slowly-unfolding descriptions of her "sexy" outfit and photo pose were the best. -
Episode 439 - It's Great (An Improv Team)

Grepisode! Two of the all-time worst/best characs. Bro's list of weed strains feels like one of those clips I'll be re-listening on YouTube for years to come. -
Episode 20 - Bill Clinton Winks Mischievously (w/ Mike Mitchell, Anthony Atamanuik)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hard Nation
This show is such a goddam delight every week. Political humor generally isn't my thing, so I love how they use that as a VERY loose framework and just make an incredibly silly show on top of it. The whole Beavis & Butthead Do America/AOL chat run felt like a quintessential HN bit. -
The "Howard's Howling" episode of HEY GANG! is indeed pretty amazing. This episode should have been called "Dong Pic War".

Heynong Gang! Howard is dumping all of those banked Hey Gangs on Soundcloud -

The 7/31 Occulus Rift episode is incredible. No countdown, just 26 minutes of pure child-like wonder from Wie-Wie.

He can come on to promote his upcoming movie!

Great debut appearance by Rhea. Loved all the baseball reference dissection, and it was awesome when Scott made a basketball reference later in the show and Paul said "Basebaaalll!"

Episode 315 - Live from Houston @ Rec Room
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Sklarbro Country
When the next season of Making a Murderer comes out, I really want DVK to do a tie-in show on Howl. (OK, I really want it to be on Earwolf, but I'm being realistic.) -
Episode 90 - Derek Waters: Homeless But Not Speechless
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Great episode. Two things: 1) I hope everyone caught Lauren using the second-greatest accidental catchphrase in CBB history. 2) I'm pretty sure that the unstated joke of Derek's character was that he was actually Johnny Depp doing research for a role or something. I kind of thought that from the beginning because he talked exactly like Depp, and then he specifically referenced two Depp movies. -
Episode 22 - A Competitive Spirit
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People
I don't know if anyone has had this experience, but this was my first "Do I know the caller?" episode. The details of her soccer career are REMARKABLY similar to someone in my high school class; literally the only difference I could pinpoint is that I'm 90% sure she was a forward or attacking midfielder and the caller mentioned that she was a defender. Anyway, this was a good one. Good story from the caller and the little things that clearly delight Chris are always fun. -
Oh yeah, Brett popping in reminds me that "B. Stard Mo" made me LOL.

Episode 42 - Goldfinger with Linda Gidley
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in I Was There Too
That aspect is great, and I also like when the guests are as far out on the fringe of the production (and Hollywood in general) as possible. A very charming episode all around. -
Great ep, Howard was in rare form. That opening was intriguing.

Greetings, Chartist. (You'll get this in one or two hundred episodes.)

Episode 71 - Summer Camp: Live from Fox Cabaret in Vancouver, BC (w/ The Sunday Service)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Yes, these were great! Excellent episode all around. Always nice to hear the live perspective. -
I know, WTF? He perfectly set himself up for it. That aside, really fun episode.

EIGHT episodes released last night. Howard has really topped himself in that the second one features Hey Gang's first-ever ad for something that started on July 13. I really hope they didn't have to pay for that.

Episode 89 - Mike Mitchell, Nick Wiger: The Force Awakens Minute
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Well that makes me feel better, because not knowing that Nick has been on their show or that they were cool with this, this felt weirdly mean-spirited.
