Episode 237 - Skin Cockroaches with Jenny Owen Youngs
Kickpuncher replied to Kevin Bartelt's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
This is the longest I've ever taken to get around to listening to an I4H, but it was worth the wait. J.O.Y. was great, and major props to (presumably) Brett, because the sound quality on her performances was incredible. -
Episode 58 - Rented Cabin in The Mountains
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I didn't catch that, but it would make sense because it's used in Apocalypse Now. -

I think it was El Caballero. -
Episode 58 - Rented Cabin in The Mountains
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
"This fella with the Dorothy Hamill haircut is awful mysterious." Loved the army sound-off. El Debarge! -
NOPE! Wonderful episode all around. I really hope that Wednesday's live show features Maxwell, and Lauren as Lisa Porsche.

Episode 76 - Chris Gethard: Anonymous Stories From Beautiful People
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
"Just come up with a bunch of stories about fucked up pranks for 45 minutes" is a pretty perfect platform for Lauren. Also, I don't remember when (or with what character) she started doing it, but using "sir" a lot amuses the hell out of me for some reason. -
Episode 418 - Paul Reiser and The Apple Tree
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Victor & Tiny are my second-favorite comedy duo, behind Scott & Brett. -
Nope, that's the one, it's State Farm.
-
I just saw a State Farm commercial for about the 100th time, and only now realized that the actor in it is Ryan Gaul. That's you dyin'? Get some life insurance.

Pray for Max Weinberg.

Episode 282 - Remembering Prince with a Prince
Kickpuncher replied to Kevin Bartelt's topic in Who Charted?
I hate to say it, but I felt inclined to agree at times today. He's really off-base and/or hypocritical about some things, and he has an infuriating tendency to dig his heels in on an argument even if no one is really arguing with him. Without Ku around to steer the ship, it's rough. -
Episode 8 - Running Down a Stapler
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People
"One might say it's because they're not just fartin' out whatever comes into their head about a stapler." Perfection. I wouldn't say this was the best episode yet, but it was easily the funniest. Also, did I miss an announcement about this being Ton Petty Week on Earwolf? -
Episode 299.5 - Sklarbro County 205
Kickpuncher replied to Kevin Bartelt's topic in Sklarbro Country
Great ep, love the old format. -
Episode 57 - Houston's Restaurant in Houston TX
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
If Paul wasn't already open about the taping schedule, that would have placed this pretty squarely in late 2015. The whole ep was terrific. Any time Blasooch and Smee are on board, you know the silliness dial is getting turned up to 10. -
This one felt really, really weird, mostly in a good way.

Episode 75 - Paul W. Downs: People, Places, and Things
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
This was really funny, but it sort of exposed a flaw in the premise. Because the guest/host comes up with the character and premise, they can basically repeat a previous episode. I think this was different enough from the Wild Horses episode to not feel like an exact repeat, but it was still weird. -
Episode 236 - 4/20 Special 2016: Live at UCB Susnet
Kickpuncher replied to Kevin Bartelt's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Matt basically gave a disclaimer at the top that these are reasons why you shouldn't normally do improv while high. The 4/20 episodes are definitely a different vibe and I can understand that they're not for everyone, but I feel like a lot of the charm is that you sort of know that things are going to go off the rails. -
This show is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I laugh pretty much every time "Pete" narrates a visual thing that is supposedly happening (and that's often).
-
"Zing"? I think NTP was being genuine, because if you search for "TJ Miller" (i.e. without periods), nothing comes up.

BONUS: Introducing "Hard Nation"
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
You should, it's really funny! -
Episode 56 - Los Feliz, Karen's House, 1997
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I was genuinely curious before I typed it, but had no idea where I might find it in written form to check. -

FURTHER ADVENTURES OF MITCH AND DOLORES!!! Carla talking back as the diary and Brandon saying "I sold counterfeit mayonnaises" destroyed me. -
More like Thomas Topditch.

Jose Oquendo's utility closet can't be sullied by such unsavory characters. The explanation for the Pete Rose JFK ball is disappointingly simple - He's a such a shameless money grubber that he'll sign anything you ask him to for the right price.
