It's a real shame that this was recorded before the Best Ofs given that both Miss Piggy and Chris Tucker were referenced.

That Ducktales game was great.

Great stuff. I really love DVK's Bob Durst. Bye! -
Episode 59 - D'Arcy Carden: Join Me In My Room with Fiona Bloom

It's been a while! I like how Josie was confused about whether Bryan was her half- or step-brother, which I was also wondering since step-siblings typically wouldn't have the same last name. -
EPISODE 220 — The Milk Carton Kids: The Musical Element
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Classic Besser. I also loved that Seth tried to turn the tables on him. -
Yeah, I vaguely remembered the story once he went into it, but had forgotten the whole aspect of the girl being dead and the related stories, which is such a weird coincidence. (Also, Scott saying something like "But what about the friend? Cuz it sounds like she's down to clown!" was amazing.)

Oh man, I forgot that the case the kid detectives were investigating was their mom's murder. Harris's Les Moonves sounded a lot like Robert DeNiro - "I want those dollahs." Really glad that Heynong Man won. I can understand why people voted for NF&P4, but I agree with Scott about it being weird because it's like a whole separate thing.

This was really great.

"I don't know if I can get off the island." "What are you, on Lost?"
-
In this part, Scott said that Middleditch would be on again, so it must be Kid Detectives, which also surprised me. Also, Is Y'all My Daddy was mentioned by Scott as an honorable mention.

Episode 40 - Inside a 40 Year-Old Woman's Purse

"Take THAT, Mildred and Patty Hill!" feels like a wonderful culmination to a years-long rivalry. -
Episode 16 - Jamie Denbo - Spotlight On: Mrs. Patti Raper

I feel like the entire goal of this podcast is to make each episode more insane than the last, and they usually succeed. -
Great stuff, my only complaint was that this wasn't included in the Silicon Valley P-Cast clip:

EPISODE 283 — The Music Episode: Sklarbro Mixtape 2015 (Where in the World is Jonah Ray)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Sklarbro Country
Fuck yeah Courtney Barnett! My favorite album of the year, and it's so good that the song Jason picked is like my 6th favorite on it. (If anyone is wondering, my favorite is "Elevator Operator".) Also, I don't listen to a lot of new music, but this is the second straight year that someone picked a song from my favorite album of the year, so I guess I'm doing something right. Overall, a really fun episode as usual, even setting the music aside. My favorite exchange: "Great radio." "You can edit this out." "We won't." "I know." -
EPISODE 126 - The Star Wars Holiday Special
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Those figures of Chewie's family are incredible, both in their mere existence and in that none of the others actually look (even superficially) like the characters. -
EPISODE 126 - The Star Wars Holiday Special
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Did anyone see a version without it? The one I watched on YouTube mentioned Daniels (but not Kenny Baker, which I thought was weird), and the description said "the weird credits narrator guy has been removed" among the clean-ups the uploader had done. So there may have been one version crediting Daniels and one not? But if it only aired once, I don't know how there could be multiple versions or what this guy "removed" since it did have a voice doing intros. Anyway, this thing is completely fucking bonkers and this episode was great. -
Scott said something like "We have a good understanding of how time works", I couldn't remember if Maxwell had debuted earlier and that was a reference to him or if it was just a coincidence. Looks like Maxwell debuted on this year's anniversary show, which was a few months before the Joe Bongo episode.

"Engineer Twinkle" I love that the mere change of pace of Ho-Ho saying "Hello!" instead of "Ho-Ho!" at the beginning is enough to make Santa break. I haven't even hit the first break yet and this is one of the GOATs. -
"Chris Tucker wants to know, are the Muppets gonna fuck Khaleesi?" might be my favorite sentence ever. I know it's pointless to complain about the countdown, but #8 is criminally low for Good Night in the Morning.

Howard giving and receiving gifts is one of the most enjoyable things in the world to listen to. Great ep, and a good occasion to bring back the old format.

In my half-awake, still-in-bed state, it took me a minute to decipher that brilliant bit of wordplay.

Weird coincidence that Paul picked "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" as his worst Christmas song, because I heard it on the radio this morning and it was probably the first time I really listened to the lyrics in years (decades?). Does anyone else think that the implication is that Grandpa killed Grandma? No one else witnessed it, he's "taking it so well", and the alternative seems to be that Santa actually is real in the reality of this song (or maybe she was just trampled by a regular deer).
