Listening to this again, it seems like Paul had it in his mind that the SECOND Scott made a Star Wars reference, he was going to bust it out. Which is awesome.

Well, he agreed to do it on Twitter, so I'm pretty sure that's legally binding.

EPISODE 39 - Freeport, Illinois
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I had never heard the story about the improvised masks in the cantina scene, so his appearance was educational AND entertaining! Also, "Crystal Man" was a perfect Gil-and-Georgesque mispronunciation. -
I voted for The Wedding of Gilly and Garry, but I would have voted for it like ten more times if I would have remembered Gilly's wedding song and the "With this ring, I thee web" run.

EPISODE 218 — Dawes in You've Been Invited to an Invite
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
My favorite I4H character of 2015 is a tie between Kanye West and Li'l Lee. -
"The only way to shut her up is to stuff a puss in that mouth." Jason's laughter at "field dressing a possum" and "I'm standing my ground like George Zimmerman" will warm my heart through this holiday season. Daly was awesome on Womp It Up this week, so getting to hear Matt again so soon was a real treat. These episodes can get a little crowded, but it pays off when someone is silent for several minutes and then pops back in with a killer line, which almost everybody did at least once here.

Italy or Snaggletooth Removal! That was the main one I was thinking of, forgot about Earbuds. I think there was at least one other recurring one.

"Keeper of the Aukerstick"!!! Man, this one was fun. I still specifically remember listening to that first episode five years ago and being so pleasantly surprised and charmed. I wish that Howard would still do some of the research he mentioned, because some of the stuff that came out of that (like the gameshow-style quizzes he would give the guests) were so great.

Or Western University!

Very reminiscent of Maxwell's very slow answer to Scott asking him his favorite magazine, which was referenced earlier in this episode.

It'sbeenawhile! "I feel like you can get deputized in Florida if you have a shovel and a fanboat." And a Bearcat scanner?

EPISODE 38 - Beautiful, Fancy Apartment in NYC
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Great episode, of course. I wonder if this sets a new record for least amount of time spent in the titular setting. -
EPISODE 38 - Beautiful, Fancy Apartment in NYC

Technicality no down beef no longer happening. -
"I used to play the guitar in a band called The Beatles." Amazing episode top to bottom. I love it so much where everything goes completely delirious and no one can stop breaking, which seemed to happen about a hundred times in this episode. Also, the Hollywood Facts theme? IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!!

EPISODE 15 - Jon Daly - Spotlight On: Matt Yanni
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Womp It Up!
Instant classic. Daly is the best. -
EPISODE 281 — Temporary WCW Champion: David Arquette
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Sklarbro Country
Good stuff. I can't believe you guys didn't know about the WCW champion thing, but it made it that much better when he mentioned it. I wish he would have explained it a little more, because it must have been baffling for anyone who didn't know the background. (OK, it's baffling anyway, but still.) -
For what it's worth, it's not really inconsistent. It comes out every other week, and they took a break for a while. (Now watch them not release an episode this week.)

EPISODE 56 - Wayne Federman: Sister Oh, Brother!
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Damn, this was so good. Great premise. I love how tickled Wayne was by the entire thing, especially Traci. -
Best episode yet with the new format. Howard's Clench-busting is one of my favorite recurring topics. I was initially wondering why "Shamp and Cond" was the title rather than "Chi Pli", but it paid off later on. Also, "control through the penis".

Shout-out to Gerry and the Pacemakers.

I watched it a couple weeks ago and liked it. Can anyone explain the part where they're in an interview and Peters takes a phone call and they don't cut away? At first, I thought it would relate to the interview or the movie somehow, but it didn't. The only thing I can think is that he left it in there to make Peters look bad, which is insane. If you're granting someone a long interview in your own office, I don't think it's unreasonable to take a phone call for 1-2 minutes, and there was obviously a ton of other stuff in there to make him look bad.

I wasn't paying super close attention and I also missed the Steve R. reference. Incidentally, I just listened to the Pete Davidson episode of You Made It Weird, which must have been recorded pretty shortly before that story broke, because they mentioned him as someone who was inspired to get into comedy by 9/11. In the context of Davidson's story, he seems like even more of a piece of shit.

No Woody Allen impression means I can only give this a C instead of the usual C+.

EPISODE 37 - Saltwater Tuffy Shoppe: Live from LA Podfest
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
This happened to be one of the ~5% of Earwolf podcasts where I listened through the Earwolf sting. Sweet reward! Also, the first 82 minutes were great.
