I'm baffled that you're baffled that Americans aren't aware of a Belgian thing.

EPISODE 201 — Surrounded by Passwords
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
I kind of want to change mine to Jeff Hooters. Great episode, and the funniest part of all might have been Matt claiming "I've been using honey for four years." -
EPISODE 246 — Fifth Hand Tom Cruise Gossip
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
Howard is definitely not UCB-trained. Anyway, great ep, nice to hear some classic Kyle bits again, and I thought Howard and Natasha managed to steer things along and mix the charts and looser conversations really well. -
Impersonations of Brody Stevens in various situations might have the highest hit-to-miss ratio of any bit that's frequently done on podcasts.

EPISODE 21 - A Top Chef Finale Afterparty
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Favorite moment - JV blatantly teeing Annie up for a flashback to her first memorable grilled cheese, possibly just for the purpose of getting to yell about the restaurant being on fire Second favorite moment - The Square Space ad featuring an anonymous Baltimore psychiatrist and gourmand -
I don't really want to push for this since I won't be subscribing just yet (although I might go for the free trial), but I think this would be nice and I'd imagine others feel the same way. Although come to think of it, this would be a good way for non-subscribers to get an idea of what the new shows are like (from semi-objective sources) and whether they're worth the cost.

Maybe it's just me but for me, the '60s ended the day that CBB recorded a live episode in Detroit. Anyway, given that there are two threads devoted do discussing Howl, I'll stick to the episode and say that it was a lot of fun (including the Howl discussion, which I expected to be a little more promo-like). GOOOOOD MORNING VIETNONG!

The discussion of Lauren's new show brings up a topic I haven't seen addressed - Will there be forum sections for the Howl-exclusive shows?

It could also be that Android users are more likely to listen (exclusively or along with their phones) on their computers and/or other devices, whereas iPhone users might listen exclusively or mostly on their iPhones, in which case this way would make more sense since it would be serving how people actually consume the content rather than what device(s) they own. But that's pure speculation on my part.

Well, this is interesting. I think it will have very minimal effect on how I consume Earwolf content (new episodes downloaded from the site, very little use of archives), but the SCLUSIES, and if it comes to pass, a better mobile interface than the site itself, might be worth it. If I did subscribe, I wouldn't do it until there is an Android app available, and also I'd feel kind of stupid for having bought a bunch of live episodes that are now included in this (I know this isn't really a legitimate complaint, but it's still frustrating). I do echo the comment above that an Android app should have been available at launch, and what I'd like to know (though I suspect Scott won't know the answer) is whether Midroll surveys or other tangible info sources show that the majority of Earwolf users use IOS devices, or if it's just due to the fact that everyone in the entertainment industry has an iPhone and seems to think that everyone else in the world has an iPhone.

EPISODE 39 - Pam Murphy: Mary, Mary, On the Contrary, How Does Your Garden Grow?
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
"Traci" sometimes asks for topic-specific questions on Twitter, but Lauren has said that she doesn't know anything in advance, so either she just gets a very broad sense of a topic from the guest/host, or she's asking for questions while recording. I don't know if the Holly Hunter-ness of Diana was intentional or not, but it definitely made me laugh. Traci saying "Doritos" sounds like "doughy doughs". -
Man, solo Wie-Wie can't even get an opening theme or closing Earwolf sting? The non-sensical ramble/sing-along with that final Elvis song was kind of amazing.

EPISODE 369 — The Hotwives of Las Vegas
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Great ep. I think my favorite moment was near the end when Casey made a crack about Scott in her own voice, and he goes "What's that, Jenfer?" -
EPISODE 9 - Erik Tanouye - Spotlight On: Nathan Ponsor
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Womp It Up!
This one was really great. The blind items were all hilarious, especially the FF run. Also, Lis was getting super silly and it was a real delight. -

This is on one of the HBO channels right now and I've only seen ~10 minutes in the middle, but holy crap is this bad. Ridiculously over the top, goofy tone, bad acting, bad character designs, just all around garbage. Given its reputation in the bad superhero movie pantheon, I'm surprised there wasn't already a thread for it. Oh, and in the random weird trivia department, here's Kerry Washington as the blind woman who (presumably) falls in love with the Thing.

I don't know how long ago this was recorded, but the Wilmer Flores aborted trade/on-field tearing-up was last Wednesday, and even within a few days of that it had taken an amazing turn. He started getting multiple standing ovations in every home game, then last Friday he hit a walk-off home run in the 12th inning of a game that springboarded the team to a 7-game winning streak that put them in 1st place. Anyway, great episode, loved the Roddy Piper reflections and the Bobcat interview. WATCH OUT NOW!

EPISODE 22 - U2 Talk 2 U
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
HOLY SHIT! Early this morning, I saw that this episode dropped, and read the description...it was so short and vague that I figured it was something special, but I didn't really want to know any more until I listen. But of course this is kind of a big deal, so I just saw it on Twitter from another media content outlet. Probably better that my mind didn't get completely blown by finding out while actually listening. -
Fun episode, wish it could have been longer.

Scott mentioned something on Twitter about how the company that produces them indefinitely postponed the release.

My two cents, as someone who doesn't even follow Paul, June, or HDTGM on Twitter and is semi-active on the HDTGM forum - I totally agree with the idea of being philosophically against doing movies that aren't really trying to be good. If I really wanted (or weirdly felt obligated) to watch every movie, this would annoy me more than it does. Personally, I watch maybe half the movies, and if there's one that I can't access for free or just don't want to watch (like the Sharknado movies, of which I've seen none), then that's fine. I still love the Sharknado episodes because the discussions are just as good or better than with "genuine" bad movies, largely because Scott is the best. Earlier in this thread, I think someone mentioned Scott being stuck with these movies or something to that effect, but I think that's a false premise, because most guests don't come back for multiple episodes. So if this means we get a Scott episode every year, I'll gladly take it.

As someone who is closer to the latter group as of the last few episodes, I (yes, the person with over 2,000 posts on the Earwolf forum) would find it pretty baffling if you were being condescending (and to be clear, I believe that you're not) towards people who don't have the time and/or desire to read 10+ pages of posts about a bad movie in addition to the hour-plus that they spent listening to a podcast about it, and maybe the ~2 hours they spent watching it. Anyway, getting to what I came in here to post - Scott Aukerman's favorite movie trailer ever?
