So, the Sklars have talked about this new "Howl" network on their last two episodes, and it sounds like it is launching soon. Is there going to be an official announcement about this with more details at some point? Will it be connected to this app, and if so, when will the Android version be ready, and/or will there be a web version? Will back episodes of Earwolf shows no longer be available for free on Earwolf?

EPISODE 19 - Malibu
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Oh, and that 9/12 live episode sounds fantastic. -

Also frequently awkward when in character. This was one of my favorite episodes just based on the pure silliness and everyone constantly cracking up. Paul's semi-off-mic "Spy company?!" was one for the ages. -
It was uncanny! Wengert is so fucking funny. Like, in a way that feels weird because it wouldn't sound even a tiny bit funny if you explained any of the stuff he does to someone, but when you listen to it he has one of the highest laugh-per-minute ratios of any performer I can think of.

A tuba Bubba busted? What do you call a device that measures comical photo/text combinations featuring Tom Cruise's ex-wife? -

Episode 1623 - Scott Aukerman
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
"That one song still haunts me." "Is it 'Boo, I'm a Ghost'?" 100% pure Saucerman. -
First impression favorites - Summahtology, Crush it Like Quint, Summah Shrine

On Twitter he still says it will be out in July. So I specifically asked him if it would be "Pacific Time Zone July" (i.e. middle of the night Eastern US) and he said "I think it'll be July on all US coasts".

Really funny stuff. Loved the "Am I Stuttering?" segment, so silly. -

EPISODE 243 β An Inconvenient Convenient Store
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
Yes, Natasha has a great laugh, and I love that it's been immortalized in the most recent version of "Closing Up the Plug Bag". I also love that she was willing to call out Minnie Driver, because that story was appalling. This might go without saying, but for anyone who isn't watching Another Period, it's very funny and you should be. -
Looking at the photos for today's HDTGM, I was reminded of another moment I loved from this episode - The idea that Jason should switch to a blue denim shirt and white cotton pants for summer.

Scott brainstorming possible sex parts for a third gender while Jason seemingly just sat back and shook his head in disgust was one of my favorite CBB moments of the year.

EPISODE 8 - Scott Aukerman, Brian Huskey, Michaela Watkins: LIVE from UCB-Sunset
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Womp It Up!
It's completely bonkers, but the various attempts to clarify things or just say 'whatever' are always hilarious. This was great. Michaela nailed it as Diane and Huskey always manages to come up with the funniest lines. -
EPISODE 36 - Neil Campbell: Past Pen Pals Present with Danny Sexton
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
"Are you my bra salesman?" I hate to nit-pick the premise, but if Danny didn't know where in New York Alice-Ann lived and she never put a proper return address on her letters, how did he write to her? -
TC 181.5 Hey Gang!: Howardβs Summah Tour Adventure
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
The timing on that couldn't be more perfect. Having it on tape in this episode also makes this the last time that anyone will ever hear it. -
I agree that Hardwick kind of goes out of his way to be super-positive about everything, but I've never gotten the sense that Jonah is afraid to criticize anything. I also don't think that's an entirely accurate interpretation of what he was saying; it was more like "Don't make a point of finding things to criticize", and that he enjoys most movies he goes to see (side note - so do I, because I only go to see movies that I'm pretty sure I'm going to enjoy).
-
You might be right, but the fact that he's done bonus episodes in nearly half of the weeks this year suggests otherwise. Edit - OK, my math was slightly off and it's more like 1/3, which might invalidate my point, but I can't delete the post.

EPISODE 364 β The Marm of Smarm Returns
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Man, this one was a ton of fun. "I've heard of 'You Poppin' My Stones?', but 'You poppin' my dirigible by drones'?!" was the best/worst Scott joke ever. Yep! Todd might be my favorite semi-under-the-radar charac, and I feel like Lauren's performance of him keeps getting better. This one seemed like she wasn't trying as hard to do a lower "boy voice", and it sounded so much more natural.- 70 replies

Not that I necessarily would have said anything anyway, but two reasons I didn't really have an issue with Armen in this episode: 1) I'm starting to realize that, at least sometimes, him acting the way he does is as much about Kulap bringing it out of him as it is his inherent Armen-ness. Like, in the first ten seconds of the show, before the theme song was even over, he was apparently doing something weird, but it was something silent that we didn't need to know about, and Kulap asked him what he was doing. And I don't mean that as a criticism of Kulap either, because she obviously has total license to dig in on something that she and a lot of the listeners think is entertaining. 2) Maybe because of Jonah or maybe just due to having more experience on the show, more so than in any of his previous appearances, he finally seemed to be sort of grasping the idea of acting more like a host than a guest.

Middleditch did the Chinese character on this week's episode of The Meltdown and it was fucking AMAZING.
