You're not the one on trial here.

Oh, cool. I thought they said there would be more episodes on Earwolf, so I was wondering why there wasn't an episode up today.
-
Yes! That (and their answers) made me very happy.
-
Seeing that explanation, I wish he and David would just keep doing PB, but I can understand why they don't want to.
-
Sad, but not the least bit surprising. It's been pretty clear lately that they all have better things to do and I'm glad that they're all succeeding. Now I just hope that Earwolf moves another show to Tuesdays to make up for losing PB and having HDTGM move to Fridays.

EPISODE 17 - Science Fair
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
That was my best guess, too. During the "multiple takes" part, I picked up on something that made me think it was Maria. Anyway, it occurred to me that even though it's frustrating, it actually kind of helps the story because it's easier to get lost in the scene and picture the character rather than the performer. Like, even if Paul is doing a female voice, I'm still picturing Paul. -
Or, you know, a joke.

EPISODE 17 - Science Fair
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I can't tell Maria and Amanda's voices apart and it drives me crazy, but either way, they're both very funny. Did anyone else worry that there would be a rift in the space-time-commercial fabric when Craig first referred to the drunk wife/mom as "Dolores"?- 35 replies

If anyone is wondering, it looks like that "After Dark" episode wasn't on last night (I think that's what they said here), but it premieres tonight at 11 and probably airs a bunch of additional times.
-
Aw, he wrote "Love".
-
Yes, it's great. A lot of familiar territory for Blastronauts, but also a lot of stuff that I don't think she's really discussed publicly, and it's really emotionally powerful. Also, familiar Earwolf faces!

I had never heard that until Scott mentioned it in regard to Dan Finnerty's songs, and then I couldn't stop thinking about it during today's WSGLL.

EPISODE 35 - Matt Besser: Turing Tests with Caleb Smith
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Of all the human properties that a robot could have delusions about, having written and performed "Black Betty" is about as funny as it gets.- 41 replies

My new favorite thing on Twooch is when Howard starts to ramble incoherently and pauses for a few seconds, and Kulap just moves on to the next chart entry. My new least favorite thing is each week that passes without Summahtology in the world.
-
Wait, people like that actually exist?
-
I've got one! I was in some sort of living room type situation (TM Jess St. Clair) with a bunch of people, and someone mentioned or made reference to Michael Jackson. Someone else went "Hee hee", and then I looked at Mookie Blaiklock (who may or may not have been there until my brain fabricated him at that point) and said "Mookie?" and he did a classic "Hee hee" and everyone laughed.

I'm bummed about the show leaving Earwolf, but I'll gladly follow you guys wherever you land. I agree about losing the interaction aspect being the worst part, but there's really nothing stopping us from continuing to discuss the show here, is there? I can understand that Chad might not want to, and that would definitely take away one of the best things that sets this show apart from others, but still. Anyway, this was a really fun episode. Loved the Caray/Cosby stuff, and "Hey 19" in the background was the perfect drop-in for the conversation involving the Steely Dan concert and the (hypothetical) babysitter. Dan is great on SBC, and he was equally great with a different vibe here. I always love the episodes where it's someone from the Earwolf family and/or a friend of the hosts because it's a bit looser, and we get some bonus Stard, too.

EPISODE 21 — iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I've heard of a few hundo nips, but 10 hundo posts?! (By the way [bytheway], I think technically your next post will be breaking off your 11th hundo.) -
EPISODE 21 — iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I picked a good morning to get up early and managed to listen to the whole thing before work. C+. "Am I gettin' pranked by Cloon-Dog, the famous prankster?!"- 89 replies

Yes, she definitely did. Classic Tig.

EPISODE 16 - An Intergalactic Performing Arts School
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
The character ads are back! Also, everything else in the episode is very funny! -
T-shirt or no, the legacy of Heynong Man runs strong given that Scott used "people of all different stars and stripes" AND "The Widow Kulap" within the first few minutes of this one. Great ep all around, and Scott was definitely in rare form; the "box" riffs killed me.

EPISODE 7 - Paul F. Tompkins - Spotlight On: Mike the Janitor
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Womp It Up!
This is the best. "Put a wig on Grimace!" "Hansel & Gretel style". And that last episode photo is pure joy.
