The Lost World: Jurassic Park

Yep, I pretty much agree with all of this, especially about the relative restraint with the CGI - good mix of new dinos and the classics, and the stuff with the new ones never felt like they were over-doing it or just showing off like the second and (especially) third movies sometimes did. Speaking of comic relief (and I'll put this in a spoiler tag, but it's a VERY minor spoiler at worst), -

The Lost World: Jurassic Park

For anyone who's on the fence and wants my two cents, Jurassic World is pretty awesome, and I was pleasantly surprised by a few things that are referenced in this thread popping up. -
EPISODE 191 — Drizzle, No Apologies
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
I know that Matty B runs Case Closed, but I'm not reading 2 1/2 pages of this and I feel sorry for anyone in the general public who is subjected to it in an episode. Anyway, this episode was great, always love these two. -
Definitely true, but in her case, I think the distinction is more between her actual self and characters, because she's the same way on her show and I4H.

Anytime I hear Ben on most podcasts or see him as a guest on a talk show, I'm struck by how he seems like such a nice, normal, polite young man who turns into a complete lunatic in the presence of Scott Aukerman.

I guess that avatar's gotta roll on outta here.

That's just plain Wong. -
Great episode in spite of the bad news. The re-hashing of the bear story is always hilarious, even more so here with a new spin. The fart discussion was really funny and a nice complement to the season finale of Louie for anyone who saw that.

So it turns out that Netflix doesn't actually have the DVD available until 6/30. I'm 90% sure that it didn't say this when I added it to my queue, so I was surprised to see that a different movie was shipped to me today. Oh well, I'm definitely not paying for this one unless maybe the podcast is delayed and I could watch it this weekend.

I was thinking that too, but to be fair, Lauren (Murph) actually did say "dollars and cents", so it wouldn't have really worked. Although I guess that would have made it even funnier.

EPISODE 11 - The Underwear Department at Macy’s

Oh, hi. This is my favorite. Colleen was especially funny here. She is in the small club of people who are genuinely funny and also have a voice that just makes me want to laugh anyway. -
I was really hoping that one of the clues would point to China. I like this episode format as a change of pace once in a while, and of course these two are goofball geniuses of the highest order.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Kickpuncher replied to OC Gangsta's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I did the same. I always liked the second one, but yeah, it's not good. I still love the T-Rex in San Diego despite how ridiculous it is. Regarding the original poster's list, my impression on #1 is that there was another dinosaur on board that killed them, but it's insane that they never explained that. This sequence also includes possibly the dumbest thing in the entire movie - Goldblum and Moore are driving by the harbor with the T. Rex chasing them, and she asks if there is a way through/around the warehouses to the boat. He says something like "I hope so!", takes a hard right, and drives through a wall and into a warehouse. OK, fine. But then HE STOPS THE CAR AND THEY GET OUT. Why would you risk going through the wall just to walk 20 feet less? All that said, III is easily the worst. -
I watch enough movies that it's really not a bad deal, but ultimately, anything that falls in the gaps between theaters, Netflix streaming, and HBO is something that I can do without. I think the last TV show I watched from it was the first season or two of Breaking Bad before they even had it streaming.

I've never used Redbox, but I'm still on board the Netflix DVD train. Weirdly enough, I was going to cancel it literally right after I return the movie I have right now, but I guess it can wait another week.

EPISODE 29 - Kyle Dunnigan: Sunshine and Smiles from Rolling Hills with Del LaRue
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
He has the unmitigated gall to occasionally try to keep the podcast that he co-hosts on topic. Good episode, nice to have established characters now and then, and I thought Lauren did a good job of keeping her character relatively straight so Kyle/Del could really shine. -

I think we have photographic confirmation that he was at the U2 show in LA this week. -
Haven't listened yet, but I'm very happy to see the photo of Howard with my favorite Clif Bar flavor given his hard stance against 'weird' (meaning not his preferred one) flavors.
