Episode 45 - Live from Largo w/ Jason Mantzoukas, Matt Walsh, Brian Huskey, Lauren Lapkus
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in Womp It Up!
Technicality no down boo over -
Episode 164 - The Price Is Right (w/ Allen Maldonado, Nyima Funk, Maribeth Monroe, Jaime Moyer)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I thought it might have been notifications from someone's phone, but it was an unusual sound for that and I'm not sure why they wouldn't have immediately turned it off if that was the case. But anyway, this episode was a lot of fun [side note, I originally typed "funk" here, which is an incredible Freudian typo]. As someone with nearly zero exposure to soap operas, the whole phenomenon amuses and fascinates me. -
Episode 545 - Casual High Technology with Wajatta
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
That makes a lot more sense, because I never really thought they looked the same based on episode photos of Jeremy (but still similar enough that I could believe it without really having seen him anywhere else). (PS, the comments on that page are hilarious. These people seem to genuinely not understand the concept of humor.) -
Episode 545 - Casual High Technology with Wajatta

I would gladly join Ming's cult even without knowing the name. I recently learned that Jeremy plays "Jamie" on the Progressive insurance commercials, which is really funny because that guy is CONSTANTLY getting clowned. -

Episode 44 - D'Arcy Carden - Spotlight On: Simon the Street Urchin
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in Womp It Up!
D'Arcy Carden is a goddamn national treasure. I heard "What's On Your Mind" IRL this week and it took some real effort to not yell out the Listler part. -
Natasha's Yoko Ono impression was the most unexpected hilarious thing ever. Great ep.

Slowing It Down with David Wain
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
"These Charming Men?" "This Charming Band." Listening to the Scotts react to "How Does It Feel (To Be In R.E.M.? (Good))" was a real delight. -
Cool!

Episode 073: Live and Let Die With Phil Nobile JR
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in James Bonding
After hearing that melodic "Make a choice", I'm not even 100% convinced that #KanangaBalloon is the craziest moment in this movie, let alone the entire franchise. -
Episode 43 - Anthony King - Spotlight On: Ken Manuel Miranda
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in Womp It Up!
The extended version of the "What's Cheesin' You?" theme song was next level. -
Automatic for the People
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
At first, I was annoyed that they didn't use (IT'S BEEN) "One Week" as the theme song for "It's Been a Week", but then I realized that the song they did use is by Letters to Cleo, a band whose shirt Adam famously wore on Parks & Rec, so that was even better. As for Haaarrriem, I generally like their earlier stuff more, but based on the songs I already knew and the clips of other songs here, this album seems really good. -
I agree, and I'll take it a step further and say that I really don't care about James Bond at all. I'd say 90% of what I know about the franchise is from this podcast, but I love the show for the exact reason above. Among the ideas they've discussed, I'd really like shows on the Indiana Jones and Austin Powers franchises.

Episode 543 - The 9th Anniversary Show!
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I hope everyone caught the funniest moment of this episode, which was barely even on mic. Charlie said something about a throat punch, and then Rudy said a Cake Boss-like "Throat punch!", and then Paul died from laughter. -
Episode 102 - Sarah Huckabee Sanders Can't Do Sit-Ups (w/ Pam Murphy)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hard Nation
God, what I wouldn't give for a new Hard Nation episode this week. -
Episode 42 - Jean Villepique - Spotlight On: Jenelle Pierce
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in Womp It Up!
Great ep. The show has really been on a roll lately. -
Episode 161 - Joe's Crab Shack (w/ Utkarsh Ambudkar, Craig Cackowski, Colleen Smith, Edgar Momplaisir)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Great ep. PFT's little fat boy made me laugh every time he talked. -
Episode 41 - Zeke Nicholson - Spotlight On: Dr. Gregory Cotton
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in Womp It Up!
This episode really stuck funs in my buns. -
Episode 384 - New Heights in Terrible Enunciation
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in Who Charted?
For what it's worth, I thought about you when someone mentioned the character Bugs Meany on this week's Threedom. (I might have brought this up in the Threedom forum, if that existed...which sort of brings us back to where we started.) -
Green with Lance Bangs
Kickpuncher replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I was waiting for it on one of Lance's demo tracks and couldn't believe it never came! -
Episode 159 - The Moon (w/ Jon Hamm, Maria Blasucci, Shaun Diston, Mark McConville)
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
As I alluded to in last week's James Bonding thread, Peak Munderscore is the opening intro of every episode of The Big Ones. -
Episode 070: Vesper's Dilemma Crossover Episode With The Big Ones
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in James Bonding
This was great, and anyone who doesn't listen to The Big Ones is really missing out. If you don't want to go back and listen to the backlog, just take an hour or so and listen to the first 2-3 minutes of every episode. -
I just heard something that reminded me of an extremely funny moment from this episode - Scott and Jon were talking about movies named after places in the Middle East, and one of them cited "Roman J. Israel, Esq.".
