Episode 235 β Al-Qaeda's NCAA Violations
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Sklarbro Country
I'm so glad that this was recorded before "Deflategate". -
Having never played D&D before, I'm happy to now know (and be impressed with) what a dice tower is.

Of course it's not, because that's not how "gu" is spelled. www.indiegugu.com

Doug Benson and Adam Scott have also been on three times each, although Scott was technically a guest co-host one of those times.

Episode 10 β The Wild Horses Show

Yyyeeesss! -
Did anyone else notice that Hanford wasn't wearing shoes in that video? I've heard of "Paul is dead", but "JOHN is dead"?
-
Non-sanitized! I guess it hadn't come out yet when this was recorded, but I feel likethe new Sleater-Kinney is the most buzzed-about rock album in a while, so I was a little surprised no one brought it up.

I saw Foxcatcher the other day and said that very thing!

Episode 10 β The Wild Horses Show

Yes, that was one of the best ones yet. I've already forgotten it, but the lawyer's name was hilarious. -

Mary and Erin were already on one of the first episodes! (But yeah, I hope/expect that they'll all be back eventually.) Great stuff as usual from WH. I like that Lauren is OK with deviating from the show's usual format, and doing one continuous scene was cool because it fits with their usual style and makes it feel less like an I4H bonus episode. -
^ Oh, hello.

Episode 171 β Whatβs Your Profession?
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
After they went back and forth saying it like three times, I was foolishly hoping that Lauren would bust that out. Mary and Lauren doing their own versions of the famous Besser Crowd Voice was amazing. Best of all, the triumphant return of Lauren's long-dormant ass-eating references! -
Great stuff, big improvement over the pilot. (And for anyone who hasn't listened to it, they were right, the live ep of WSGLL was indeed great.)
-
It was widely considered to be 'snubbed' due to an overall lack of nominations (particularly for Oyelowo), but yeah, that was a pretty big fuckbotch on Ku's part. I was also thinking about the Gu Cruise video and thought they might actually be saving it for next Summah, so who knows. It's not like it would be unprecedented given the status of Tears on My Shaft. (For the record, indiegugu.com does now redirect to the IGG page.) Anyway, great episode, great job by Randy. It's hard to say how naturally comfortable and outgoing these guys are, but it's really nice to hear what a welcoming, relaxed environment Ku and Wie create for non-showbiz guests.

OK, sorry, I guess I completely fabricated that in my brain, because I could have sworn they had done it. Probably some combination of me having watched the movie within the last few years and all the Stallone episodes they've done.
-
So maybe there aren't more. But no, it's not.

That new theme is incredible. I'm not sure why Paul included the comment about Xanadu supposedly being the oldest movie they've done when it was immediately refuted. C&Os need some C&Bs*! *Checks and balances

Sorry Tig and Stephanie, your one-week reign as Cutest Couple on Professor Blastoff is OVER! Mother cracking up during a scripted Mother Meditation was unbelievably funny, in no small part due to how completely incomprehensible it would be to someone who isn't familiar with PB.

Now that he's said it twice... "EGOTSGCA (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony, Spike Guys' Choice Award)" -
Yeah, I don't even know how to process this. What's next, Scott saying "House of Lies"?! I want to dock Scott some points for saying that 53-year-old Shelly is "a child of the Sixties" when we all know that everyone in their fifties was born in the Fifties, but I think it's a technicality no down boo over situation where he was born in the Fifties but was still a child in the Sixties.

Yes, a lot.

Is there some sort of joke about Berman and MLK that I don't get? Great episode, liked the interview a lot. The Sklars really have a knack for bringing the best out of an interview/conversation.

Episode 9 β The Dr. Phil/Victor Ramos Show LIVE from UCB-Sunset
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Really fun episode, largely due to that trademark Sanz lack of coherence. I'm glad that the show has a real sponsor, and even more glad that there was still one fake sponsor. The first Squarespace ad was pretty straight, and it sounded like she was trying really hard to sound sincere and not do her usual ad voice, which was hilarious.
