Episode 323 — Pie Quiz with Tears for Fears
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
When they mentioned that U2 would be 'opening' for them at the KROQ show, I really hoped Scott (and possibly Paul) would go into some talkin' U2 to me. -

Yeah, there was definitely an edit there. Presumably he just messed up the number of discs during the main recording. -
Episode 323 — Pie Quiz with Tears for Fears

Man, this was awesome. Every bit as hilarious as everyone has said, and also a really interesting and informative interview. PFT's off mic laughter was stronger than ever, and I'd speculate that it was because Scott caught him off guard by doing his usual bits during a relatively straight interview with big-time guests. -
Thank you, I couldn't remember the exact wording he used.

Yep, for all the shit NBC gets, ABC is probably even worse at comedy development. They struck gold with Modern Family and have tried to ride it ever since with failure after failure. The naming thing has become a running joke and they don't seem to have any awareness of it. I think Blackish (yet another very good show with a terrible name) is doing well because they finally picked something good to pair with MF.

It's weird, because Christian movies usually do well at the box office (at least relatively speaking) and get some attention, but I've heard literally nothing about this movie other than wherever I came across that poster image.

Good episode, John seems cool. Despite the horrible name and questionable premise, Selfie is actually really funny and it's too bad ABC didn't give it more of a chance. In an update on the update, the Canseco finger story was apparently a hoax - http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/jose-canseco-finger-falling-off-selling-it-on-ebay-was-a-hoax-112014 The pee club is so weird on so many levels. - Like they said, you can pee anywhere; privacy is a bigger issue than not having a place for your pee, and this doesn't solve that. If something like that were really necessary, it would be so much simpler and better to just have a compartment built into your bag since you could semi-discreetly stand up against the bag and go into it. - Shouldn't it be a wood rather than an iron, for more volume? - On a similar note, shouldn't it be a club that isn't commonly used, just to further avoid the chance of a mix-up?

Yeah, seems fair. -
I wonder if we will hear...
Kickpuncher replied to ICMexican's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
What other characters has Lauren done on CBB? Todd Ms. Chips Regina Crimp Any others? I'd also love a Susan Fischer episode, but I don't know if that's even legally allowed. -
I think she was, because Dustin seems to be begging for money every few months. Tons of fun as always. As we've heard many times before with many podcasts, the host(s) not being in a good mental state almost always leads to pure gold.

Episode 1 — Public Domain with Paul F. Tompkins
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Loved it. Traci was great as always, and Paul being "Paul" but essentially doing a character that is a bad talk radio host was hilarious. Running down the roster of Friends was very reminiscent of UTU2TM. -

Yeah, I'm sure they do them in bunches, but Jason is at least there every other week (although I guess not considering how many live episodes HDTGM does). -

I really hope they schedule the AN and HDTGM recordings so that Jason can keep doing these segments for each episode. -

Does anyone else want to hear a Case Closed where Howard Kremer extols the virtues of Florida-Georgia Line? Really loved this episode, especially the arcade scene. The idea to bring in a machine that would let you put any name you want was brilliant. (Was that too analytical, Gabrus?) -

OK, now I really want to hear Howard on NNF, or at least for him to appear on Pardcastathon. I can't believe no one asked what Jimmy's favorite movie is. That would have been epic. "Ladies don't do judo" (was that the exact wording?) was amazing, especially since they were talking about The Next KARATE Kid. -
I wouldn't touch their roast beef sandwiches with a ten-foot pole, but their chicken sandwiches and fries are good (and by that, I mean that if I have that for one of the 2-3 times per year that I eat fast food, I'm satisfied).

Is Anyone Else Annoyed by Scott Recently?
Kickpuncher replied to kennygray's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Yeah, the TV show isn't as funny as the podcast for reasons mentioned above and also due to the fact that almost nothing is. But on a more serious note, anyone who was turned off by the first season of the TV show should give it another try. It's gotten a lot better and the style of humor is more in line with the podcast. It's gone from a show that I enjoyed partially because it was genuinely funny and partially because it was just fun to watch Scott & Co. get to do all this crazy stuff on TV to one of my absolute favorite shows. -

Episode 182 — Fantasy Baseball/Neurosis
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Professor Blastoff
It's funny because he does so many of the same things that apparently cause people to hate Pete Holmes, but everyone loves him. (And in case this isn't obvious, I'm not saying that anyone should hate Jimmy, but that I strongly disagree with the hatred of Pete.) -
