Why do you hate joy?

Yep, just discussed on the latest DLM, actually. I believe the subtitle is "Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure".

"What about the Murphy poop?" - Doody Allen

Man, two straight weeks of killer first-timers. Scott's dream SNL cast had me rolling. "From Garfield & Oates?" How psyched must he have been to get to do "Nasim Pedrad!" and "It's not a two more" within about a minute? Engineer Cody Cody is as quiet as a church mouse fucking on cotton.

That's genuinely very funny.

Counter-point - The price is really that plus shipping, and it would be tough to get it shipped and watch it in the time between the movie announcement and the episode (granted, not a huge concern here since we knew this episode was eventually coming, but in general). Bottom line, I don't think they should feel any obligation either way, but I strongly prefer when it's a readily-available movie. The last two episodes and forum discussions were so much fun because it was clear that a lot of us watched the movies. Anyway, the episode was a lot of fun and once again Matt was a great guest.

"The Sylvester Stallone Podcast"
Kickpuncher replied to Kickpuncher's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I assumed all along that it would just be Kroll impersonating him (and, frankly, would prefer that to what it is), and was also surprised by Stallone himself being listed as a guest. -
Two things I was reminded of today that I wanted to mention: - Howard's comment about not talking to a woman in two weeks because of Plug Life hit too close to home. - Howard's reaction to the subject matter of Whiplash: "Come on."
-
You guys know that "Hot Slob" is a DBS song, right?
-
Guys, Howard was talkin' U2 to us. Loved that and every other minute of this. For posterity: Non-Summah is a beast. We FALL into its mouth. We WINTER in its bowels. And we SPRING out from its anus.
-
Did he? I only remember him saying "later in the week" on the podcast, unless he said Thursday somewhere else.

whats yr all-time fav UTU2TM joke
Kickpuncher replied to katexmachina's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I'd pick the same episode, but the "Is this U2?" bit. A close second would be the "Hey Spidey, turn off the dark!" run. Of course, those are just the ones I remember and could probably come up with a dozen that were equally good if I listened through again. -
It's definitely from UTU2TM, because the origin is (Adam) Scott calling one of the other engineers "Engineer Cody". Bruce, I hope you're right about that episode, because then it would be the answer to "When was the first time you became aware of the generic title 'Engineer Cody'?"

Good ep, sounds like they have a good handle on everything. Looking forward to a lot of this, and it was nice to get some perspective on these shows since announcing the site and dropping all the podcasts in one day was kind of overwhelming. -
I've heard that Brett is slated to get his own mustard-themed podcast called "Mustalk", one of the flagship shows on Earwolf's new new sister network "Wolf Chow", debuting in 2016. Totally agree with all the comments about Howard spitting fire in this episode. Hank was great, and the vibe was very Twooch-esque thanks to having a guest who knows all the (non-douche) minutiae of the show.

I love that he didn't even bother to take photos showing what's in it and just used the episode photos.

Episode 202 — Past Life Regression
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Affirmation Nation with Bob Ducca
I could listen to Bob say the phrase "gargle bucket" all day long. This show is great. -
Looks like UTU2TM is moving to new sister network Wolfpop
Kickpuncher replied to Bernard_Shakey's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
It looks like almost every show had an episode ready for the launch (and the shows that are listed as releasing on Wednesdays didn't release second episodes today), so I'm guessing not. -
I can see the case for cutting the ending, but I thought they all handled it well and David was particularly articulate despite the circumstances. Really fun episode prior to that. Tig's Christopher Reeve riff was incredible. I feel like the Wild Horses quadrilogy ending with an episode about horses should cause the universe to collapse into itself or something.

"The Sylvester Stallone Podcast"

This, I guess? http://wolfpop.com/ -
I can only give it a C. If they had broken into the Cantina theme, that would have bumped it up to a C+.

Episode 223 — Everybody Lives, Raymond
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Sklarbro Country
They mentioned that Jason Ritter had been on the show and couldn't think of another person from Parenthood - it was Josh Stamberg, which is kind of funny because all three actors from Parenthood who have been guests played Sarah's boyfriends.
