I love how Stard started spontaneously dropping it, then the first time that one of them clearly set it up for him, he Ramhanded it.

Nice job, Sam Addison. http://samaddison.tumblr.com/post/100722936634/comedy-bang-bang-episode-317-natasha-lyonne

Episode 157 — IQ of a Corpse

"Hodor." -
Good point! The movie was too long and that would be an easy way to lop off 5-10 minutes. I'd guess that the point was to illustrate that he was a rebel operating outside the accepted bounds of the scientific establishment...which probably could have been addressed in a few lines of dialogue between him and Allan.

Episode 203 — Who Charted at LA PODFEST!!!

Of course the science was completely bogus, but I think with a movie like this you kind of have to just go with everything relating to the premise. I was more annoyed by everything involving Geoffrey's lab and his relationship with Stephen Root(!); it just made no sense and had no basis in reality whatsoever.

Episode 203 — Who Charted at LA PODFEST!!!

R.I.Possible? Great episode, Matt is super cool. Favorite exchange: "Is 'Sofitel' Swedish?" "No, I think it's French." "OK, even they have Alps." -
Good phrase for performing oral sex!

It seems like he does that stuff only VERY occasionally, or maybe the mics just don't pick it up well. Don't get me wrong, it's obviously funnier if it's worse, so I'm all for the vocals-only version.

I don't use iTunes, but I hope they get this problem sorted out just so that the first 3-5 comments of every thread aren't about that. Good episode. Does anyone else find it funny that Kyle is always saying how those sounds are made using only his body, but in fact he's only even using ONE PART of his body, i.e. his mouth?
-
Yeah, for a minute I was wondering if they were going to initiate a G.U.N.G.R.A.B. protocol. Granted, that was Scott and Lord ALW, but it's pretty clear that Paul listens to every episode, so I'm sure he's familiar.

It was really amazing. How could anyone possibly be that weird?
-
No, because there was a dramatic slo-mo shot of the bricks flying through the air, which was hilarious. I guess the impact of the truck hitting him (luckily?) ripped the bag open.
-
I know! There is no possible way to cinch up that bag of bricks tightly enough that it wouldn't violently slam into your lower back on every single stride. That bugged the hell out of me.

Did anyone else wonder if Dreama is related to this guy?
-
It's a good deal if you can avoid having your retinas burned.
-
Yeah, it's kind of weird that this horror movie has nothing even remotely scary (other than maybe his accident) in the first ~45 minutes.
-
Did I love this episode? Hyyyyeeeyus! All three guests were great. The aforementioned "I'm gonna murder you" and the Murphy Group question were two of my hardest laughs in a while.
-
Specifically, that he jerked it to it.
-
I think someone sent him that screen cap and he mentioned it on the episode.

Howard posted this on IG last night: It kind of blew me away when he brought this up on the show. Did anyone know about it?
-
I can only assume that there are, or will be, some AMAZING GIFs of the climax of this movie. This was a weird mix of typical HDTGM laughable bad, regular boring bad, and actually kinda OK.

"If Scott's never pounded you to this song, I'd recommend it."

Episode 18 — Songs of Innocence Physical Release Special
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Yeah, I saw them in a theater and can't really picture them playing a big venue. It kind of fits with what they were talking about on CBB today, where a small venue probably means everyone is really hyped up for it and knows all the songs. -
Episode 18 — Songs of Innocence Physical Release Special

I saw them earlier this year and they were incredible. They only interacted with the crowd a little bit, but for what it's worth, the lead singer (Jeff Mangum) has been really reclusive and the fact that they're even touring would be considered extremely unlikely not long ago. Also, I don't think it's really accurate to characterize any of their songs as "well known", "hits", or "deep cuts"; I guess some songs are more popular among their fans, but they're a cult band that 99% of people have never heard of and have never had anything resembling a hit.
