Episode 187 — Super Lithe with Mild Scoliosis
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
Great episode. It was really funny when Danielle almost won Jaws is Better, but then caught herself before saying it. -
Monumental moment in PB history, the mammal is mentioned by name!
-
Still missing Nathan's vocabulary list, but we'll take it. And I'm sure the folks at Bonobos will be happy that Scott has ditched the cap and put on a blazer.

List of Scott's Frequently Repeated Phrases

Excitedly pointing out that the New York Times is "the paper of record!" -
Are you guys familiar with the economic theorist Karl Marx? Well if he were a dog, he'd be named Carl Barks.

Like, say, Howard ...romancing a creature that looks like it's half-crab/half-shark? Such filth has no place in the Who Charted Expanded Universe!

Clearly the only correct answer.

I guess no one wanted to sponsor this episode? Would have been a good one for either of the (amazingly) two sock companies which have sponsored Earwolf shows.

I thought the same thing. Anyway, loved the episode. The Howard/Jason vibe was great. Howard getting all riled up is hilarious, and it never feels like he's genuinely upset, so it doesn't feel weird.

I disagree. Good episode. Kyle was smart not to take Aaron's leg-wrestling challenge. Those calves wouldn't have stood a chance.

Someone recently mentioned how County was meant to be a much shorter show, and had really strayed from that. This was a nice throwback. And there was plenty of time to talk about Jason's movie and dig in on the stories without anything feeling rushed. Good stuff.

Such a great episode. I could listen to these four riff all day long. And Gumbel to top it off! -
The DirecTV commercials with the marionette people

I haaaate the ticket oak. One of the first ones has the tree high on caffeine, which is inexplicably stupid to begin with, but to top it off, he acts like he's tripping on acid rather than hyper. -
Episode 15 — Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark

This is weird...I liked that post and replied earlier, and both seem to have disappeared. Anyway, that's amazing, great job! -

Honestly, I laugh at "Yeah, that's sorta jazzy" every single time. -
Episode 139 — Penis T-Zone
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
While we're at it, I have a semi-related question - There are sometimes four guests, so do you always (or often) invite four people, knowing that one will probably not be able to do it (or will eventually have to drop out)? Anyway, awesome group, great episode. The courtroom video and ensuing scene were amazing. And the biggest highlight of all may have been Dr. Ducca, penis diagnoser. -
Episode 295 — I Turned It On For The Dog Penis
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
TURNED ON FOR WHAT? A dog's penis. I'm sure this was recorded too recently for this to be anything but a coincidence, but in the last episode thread, I lamented Scott missing an opportunity for "It's been" or "It's been a while", and in this episode, he did both back-to-back. I just checked and last year's episode wasn't until August 12, so probably not too soon, unfortunately. -
Great episode! I've heard of a Karen a bunch, but haven't really seen/heard anything she's done - a pure delight.

Haven't listened yet, but I just looked at the episode photos and want to say thanks for getting a good shot of Howard's notes.

Episode 16 — Commentary Special
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
On Doug Loves Movies last week, Doug got Scott to agree to do one episode for each track when the album comes out. I'm not holding my breath, but that would be amazing. -
Yep. For everyone who's commented on the energy/mood in the recent episodes, this one felt like a real uptick. Mary was a really good guest (knowledgeable and good at playing along with the goofing around) and the gang were all in top form. Nerdy nit-pick - Tig kept making lunatic "puns", seemingly not realizing that this is in fact the origin of that word.

Episode 87 — Easy Rider 2: The Ride Back
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Yes! I was going to say the same thing. It sounds more like a six-hour miniseries. The flashbacks must be like two minutes long. -
Nah, I can definitely hear it. Fairly similar voices, both laid back and affable.

Great episode. Scott's intro of Ian was just begging for an "IT'S BEEN" or "It's been a while", but the Borat reference totally made up for it!
