Episode 14 β Staind Glass
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
You mean Randall "Pink" Floyd from Dazed and Confused, right? -
Episode 136 β Hallelujah the Hills
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
While it's virtually impossible to follow Jess, Len, and Zouks, they did one hell of a job here. The band was great, and three of the best Humans all killed it. -
Episode 14 β Staind Glass

I think Scott needs to start saying "I'll make you laugh out loud never at the post office!" -
Episode 14 β Staind Glass

"Rock Around the Clock" and the (second) Happy Days theme are two different songs, not an original and cover of the same song. -
Episode 289 β The Exorcism of Cake Boss

Not sure if it's one of these, but if you click on his name on that page, it gives you three VW ads he's done: http://www.ispot.tv/topic/actor-actress/LyH/matt-gourley -
Yes. I've expressed my thoughts on Armen in his first few episodes, and there's no need to keep harping on it, but this is my main issue. Bottom line, you couldn't do an episode "co-hosted" by Armen where the guest doesn't have a pre-existing relationship with Armen. So it's fine if he fills in for a week, but a month becomes a real stretch. Anything beyond that just wouldn't work. That said, this episode was great, and I've never loved Besser more than in the first five minutes of it. Someone used the word "cathartic" earlier in the thread, which I think nails it.

Episode 14 β Staind Glass

One correction - "Rock Around the Clock" was originally used as the Happy days theme, but the one Scott played was the later theme made specifically for the show, which (according to Shazam) is simply called "Happy Days" by Pratt & McClain. -
Episode 14 β Staind Glass
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I'm pretty sure the one before was "Itsy-Bitsy Teenie-Weenie Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini" and the one after was "Blueberry Hill". (And yes, I gladly listened to that whole section again to find out. On second listen, my favorite part might be the meta aspect of how it's exactly what Todd does on his show, which is to do a long bit, and then say, "OK, enough of the bit", and then keep doing the bit, and repeating that like five times.) -

Yes, that was great. One of my favorite things about that segment was finding out some of the very old and/or completely ridiculous stuff Scott has in his iTunes. "Wipeout" by the Fat Boys?! And Scott didn't even do his classic guitar riff! -
Episode 14 β Staind Glass

Wow, that's pretty much my exact situation with his show, right down to the same list of guests. -

That was incredible. My hardest laugh was "My Life", because I wasn't expecting it at all. Second place - "It's B." "Like butthole!" I think I laughed out loud more at this episode than at any podcast since ADPPP. Todd repeatedly referring to U2 as "he" and his general obliviousness were so funny. I could have listened to this for 4 hours. -
What does Reggie say at the very end of the theme song?

I've always thought "Oh, Bang". -

Exoskeletons: The New Black All three guys are tantalizingly close to wearing the Mantzoukas uniform. Pretty much everything about this episode was perfect. -
Funny coincidence - Blaine joked about Episode I coming out in the '60s, and said that it pre-dated 2001 (i.e. the Kubrick movie) by a year and a half, when in fact it came out in late May 1999, so it actually did pre-date the year 2001 by almost exactly a year and a half.

Any topic that lends itself to stories from the childhoods/adolescences of Tig and Kyle is A-OK in my book.

Episode 135 β Ute of the Butte
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Her sincere aversion to anything even remotely scary is so funny, and even funnier with a really tight-knit group like this because you just know they're going to push her as close to the edge as they possibly can. -
I'm sure this was alleviated when Brody bellowed "ENJOY IT!", and they were compelled to by sheer force of will.

Yep, same here. *'Casually' whistling and looking away from trolls* -
Episode 90 β Funkiest Lordβs Prayer
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
Great episode. Megan is indeed pretty awesome. Although I hate (and this is not meant to be a criticism of her at all) that she feels like she has to be secretive about her age, to the point that it comes up multiple times in this episode. -

After today's episode, I think we can officially add "I could get used to this." -

Listening to Scott grill Horatio on the background of one of his characters is one of the true joys in my life. -

Awesome! The cast of Earwolf Babies is really coming together nicely. -
Episode 86 β Ernest Goes To Jail
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
"Oh, you mean why I still watch episode 2 of True Detective?" Fucking Zouks, man. Did anyone else feel like he was trolling us by going into an in-depth analysis of Ernest's potential psychological disorders without ever using his catchphrase "on the spectrum"? -
YES.
