Yeah, he was funny, but it was a typical first-timer thing where he sort of fell into the background once Lauren got going. I agree that it's the better approach, but ultimately he didn't make much of an impression. You can tell Lauren is reaching the upper echelon of (character) guests, because this was really funny throughout (with a few real stand-out moments) even though there really wasn't much of anything "happening".

I think it's a combination of the show releasing on Fridays (and therefore a lot of people listening on the weekends, when the forums are typically less active) and the fact that the show is always very good but rarely has anything that transcends a typical episode. I love how Adomian has transferred the tendency to mix up the Sklars to all of his characters.

Episode 134 β Hubba Bubba Worthy
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
I would pay cash money to see a web series of Doug the Angry Trumpet Fighter life coaching Eric the Paid Intern. Weird Besser Crowd Guy destroyed this week. My favorite line was a total throw-away within the first few minutes - "Yes, Olive Garden wings." -
Trying to liken "Karf" to "Have a Summah"...for fuck's sake.

Episode 12 β Slowing It Down 2
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Yes, this and the "dreams of" variation have definitely crept into my everyday thoughts. I was downright shocked when Scott never used it in reference to the younger incarnation of Fourvel on this week's CBB. -
I'm glad Tig made fun of Kyle for talking about his Korean dorm-mate on an episode about gay athletes, but in his defense, that horse had long since left the barn considering that they had an in-depth discussion of Tim Tebow and only a cursory mention of Jason Collins 50 minutes in.

I literally had to stop what I was doing, double over, and gather myself when ALW referred to Mildred & Patty Hill as "miserly crones". Phenomenal episode.

Really good episode.

Dan Van Kirk kills it on Doug Loves Movies

DVK absolutely destroyed as Wahlberg on DLM 761. -
Episode 88 β Mailbox Full of Blood
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
This was really great. Good mix of clips and conversation/interview. -
Martin Fart is one of the main characters in my new parody web series, "Poo Detective".

I mean, if you want a lot of people to go see it, that certainly helps. And, for that matter, setting it in a place that's conducive to them wearing revealing outfits helps more. That doesn't mean they help it be a good movie, but obviously that's not the only concern of people involved in those decisions.

Episode 11 β How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Great episode, but for a long time, I was really worried that Scott wasn't going to say "President Barack Hussein Obamacare". -
The fact that it doesn't feel put-on keeps me from enjoying him.

I don't know if this makes it more or less likely to do it (probably less), but Lauren Lapkus is in it.

Yeah, I have the other three, but the PFT one was gone when I went to buy it. I'm almost sure that one was a 2011 year-end special. The Jonah Ray episode was done at SXSW, I'd guess 2012, so you can get a decent estimate of the date from that. The locations for Mix and G&O were Seattle and Vancouver respectively, if that helps.

He was cool in general, but it seemed extremely weird to ask that on air at all, particularly right at the beginning before any sort of rapport was established. Loved the wealth of new Tig characs in this episode - Interesting Scuba Diver, Proud Texan, Cash Cow When David mentioned social networks among animals, this immediately came to my mind:

It's beat-box week on Earwolf. RIDDLER!

Episode 283 β The 5th Anniversary Show!
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Bonus ep this week, so probably at least Reggie. -
"Common People", cover version by William Shatner (original version by Pulp).

I know it's early, but I feel like I'll never get tired of Howard talking about 'gu's. When he said something like "Why do they like it so much?" (in reference to them riding jet skis), it was a sublime moment of his brain getting tricked into buying into its own insane fiction.

Audio: Scotts Talkin' U2 Back In 2010
Kickpuncher replied to Oh My Goosh's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Great stuff. I knew that "Gerald" was a big U2 fan, but didn't remember there being quite that much talkin' '2. Also...PFT AND ADOMIAN OFF-MIC LAUGHTER! -
Episode 10 β All That You Canβt Leave Behind
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Loved the episode, great mix of nonsense and Talkin' '2. It also reminded me that yes, this album is pretty great. I was really into U2 at the time, and their subsequent albums basically killed my enthusiasm for them. Looking back, I don't really think of this among their classics, and I wouldn't put it up there with Joshua Tree or ACHTUNG baby, but it's closer to those than to their more recent ones. -
I wouldn't quite split it like that, because Dangerfield and Knight are also great (mostly "golf stuff"), but yeah, most of the stuff with just Chase and/or Noonan isn't so good. Anyway, I agree with Harris's overall premise, but would call Caddyshack a major exception. Anyway, like everyone else has said, great to have Ku back and the show in top form.

Yes! Greatness all around. Really good run of episodes lately. Also, "This episode is about animation." DEAD.
