Episode 128 ā Toothbrush Tommy
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Absolutely. RIP Earwolf Studios 2. Man, this was soooo good. The rock 'n' roll goat scene was incredible. And of course, only Andy Daly's brain could give birth to a direction as hilariously twisted as "I'll see if I can come up with the skull of a child of your size." -

Yes! I agree completely. -

I was surprised that Esther hadn't appeared on an Earwolf show prior to this. Other than generally being aware of her, the only thing I had seen/heard her in was a brief appearance on "Enjoy It!", and she seems really cool. I checked the show photos to see this yellow paneling, and was delighted to find the last one, which is Jake with his laptop showing the "Fuck Me Silly" video. -
I feel stupid paying $3 for ~4 minutes of stuff that was available for free before, but I'll do it to support the cause. Seeing "Rudolph Chewed Off" linked on that page reminds me that the new DBS album was supposed to come out in 2013, and we've heard virtually nothing about it for the last couple months. Also, didn't Howard record a stand-up album quite a while ago? I blame Kulap for getting busy with her own project rather than maintaining her usual level of keeping Howard on track.

List of Scott's Frequently Repeated Phrases

I remember this story being discussed on this forum when it first came out, so here's an update on Jesus allegedly saying "My wife": http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/10/science/scrap-of-papyrus-referring-to-jesus-wife-is-likely-to-be-ancient-scientists-say.html?smid=tw-nytimesscience&seid=auto -
If it weren't for hearing the same songs every week, we wouldn't get the hilarity of Howard's klezmer scatting escalating to the point of him teasing whether he'll do it or not. I was especially blown away this week, because I listened to Moshe Kasher's (second) appearance on You Made it Weird last weekend, and he did a similar song about soup which I thought would be a perfect match for Howard's, and then Howard actually referenced soup this week! Also, Emily very nearly said "It's been one week" during the opening.

Episode 7 ā Zooropa
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Yep, he did give-aways during a few episodes where he would ask questions about the previous segment and the first correct answer would win. I answered first, but wasn't exactly right. -

MacPhisto holds a real sore spot for me - I almost won a CBB t-shirt that Scott was giving away on Twitter during last season of the TV show, but I answered his trivia question incorrectly with "Mephisto". Anyhoo, another really fun episode! -
He's not the only one! I don't remember if it was CBB, County, or Blastoff, but there was definitely another show I listened to this week where the host pronounced it that way. Maybe if she's famous for a few more decades, the right version will catch on.

Oh, I definitely didn't miss it. This one wasn't his biggest reaction, but you could sort of tell that he was trying really hard to stifle a huge outburst.

There have been few things on this podcast I've ever laughed at harder than Kyle wanting to play out the "five thirty" scenario, and then starting it himself with "What time is it?" I have two systems with powerful electromagnets in my lab, so there's tape around them on the floor and I have to explain to everyone who gets trained on them that it's really only a hazard if you have a pacemaker. Not surprisingly, none of these people (mostly grad students and other researchers in their twenties) has ever had a pacemaker.

Or the guy in In Bruges, who everyone thought was played by...Peter Dinklage!

Fantastic episode. Every previous instance of PFT off-mic laughter was BLOWN AWAY by PFT's off-mic reaction to Scott's Bill Murray impression.

Great episode, already getting me fired up for Summah!

Episode 6 ā Achtung Baby

It was pretty hilarious that Scott got so alarmed and cut that off rather than just saying "OK, we'll bleep that." Maybe the studio is out of bleeps again. -
Episode 127 ā Bug Out Bag

The vocabulary matrix scene was absolutely incredible, and I loved the last one too. Awesome episode. Any week that Lapkus is on two Earwolf shows is a good week in my life. -
LONG EPISODE! Great stuff all around. My favorite subtle moment was when they were talking about their parents, and Emily said something like "We were saying how it's weird that all of our parents are like ten years older than most people our age" and Howard goes "Yeah, let's go with that."

Speaking of not thinking top shelf thoughts, it never occurred to me until this episode that "Blue Whale" was a play on words. Good episode. I'm a little confused on the timing of this - It was before the Grammys, but no Aaron? Although I guess they recorded it somewhere else (not in a batch with other episodes?), so maybe he just wasn't there for this particular recording.

Great episode. Really cool idea to fill the Ku-gap.

I'll appreciate the long episodes a lot more now that ADPPP is done, but there's no way I can find time to listen to both of these and I4H in one day. Nice problem to have, I suppose. -

"INTERNATIONAL WATERS!" That entire section, especially the podcast sponsors integration, was amazing. ADPPP was like the True Detective of podcasts - Eight weeks of gut-wrenching (or gut-busting) darkness followed by a surprisingly uplifting ending. (Also, absolutely fucking incredible.)- 98 replies

Will there be new seasons?
Kickpuncher replied to johnnycanuck21's topic in The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project
I always assumed there was no intention of doing more, but they're using the phrase "season finale" in and in regard to this week's episode. That may or may not mean anything, but it's more encouraging than if they were saying "series finale". EDIT - And now I see that the very first post in this week's thread points out the same thing. So I guess I'm not alone in that interpretation.
