Episode 5 — Achtung Baby?
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Still laughing at "chimpornaut". It was pretty funny how they were talking about Adam Scott the golfer, then they discussed Josh Hamilton, another actor who shares a name with a famous athlete. -
I was expecting the SXSW show today, so a studio Apisode was a nice surprise (although I do hope we get that one at some point). I've mostly liked Mike from what I've seen of him before, but he rubbed me the wrong way quite a few times as others have mentioned. On the plus side, he and April are both good with the more in-depth discussions.

Yeah, I hate to criticize the guests (and if anything, I tend to get really frustrated with the hosts' tendency to occasionally steamroll the guest with too many jokes), and the discussion was definitely interesting, but man was that dry. At least in tone, it felt like a typical jokey impression of an NPR show. I had to go back and check the guest bio to see that I didn't mis-hear that he was a comedian.

Episode 007 — Rockin’ and A Rollin’ with Wolfman Hot Dog

Except when he does Ian Fleming, which is awesome. -
Yep, some pro level yes-anding from both Rhett and Matt. Does Matt remind anyone else of an American Jon Dore? I'd love to hear a supercut of Russell Crowe saying "Noah" and Ahi saying "no".

I could hear it infinity times and still laugh at the long one. Great episode. I hope Ku takes Wie's advice about taking a day to relax a bit, whether it's in Luang Comedy Prabang-Bang or not.

Oh, he was definitely from New Zealand. He said that his father was an Australian there on business and his mother was Maori. -

After hearing Gabrus's stories, Gino the intern makes SO much sense. -

Not that the rest wasn't great, but I felt like this one peaked early with the dream journal reading, which was phenomenal. Gourley gets my MVP award for this episode for his casual delivery of "I should say, we're also married", and especially for "It was Charlie". -
Episode 172 — Savor This Kulap While You Can
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
That's not how I interpreted it, because at least in the current one, he's doing it in an exaggerated fashion before she even talks. But maybe that's how it started. In any case, it's really funny. -
Episode 82 — FEED ON MY CONTENT

Alternate episode title - "U Talkin' A Giant Fuck U To U2 To Me?" -

The stuff with Ku's family is getting heavy, and I really appreciate it how open and humorous she's able to be about it. As always, having a guest who is already friendly with the hosts makes the show that much better. This really had a Toochy feel to it (including some mic time for Stard!). -
Episode 4 — Rattle and Hum
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I don't think he actually said "uh", but he did pause for a second after "worthy", and I got VERY excited. But seriously, you guys...college girls. -
"I was on TV ages ago, here's what I think about this." I think this was the best episode in quite a while. Good guest, thoughtful and reasonably focused discussion, but still with room for goofing around.

That first story was AMAZING. Huge fan of Jonah, can't wait for the book. Great episode!
-
The message I took away from this is that Scott wants to make flowers with a hooker.
-
Yeah, I noticed that it was in stereo, which I don't think had been the case previously (even since Earwolf generally started putting the shows out in stereo). Pretty cool! ("Miley Cyrus Talk Show".)

Great group, awesome episode. I love the Farts & Pro eps, but Chelsea sort of drifts into the background in those, so it's nice to see her in the spotlight here. The ET bit was my favorite.

So, Rich solved the mystery of Ruth's Chris? The only thing worse for a Sklars running joke would be if Brandon stopped growing.

Episode 81 — SLEDGE HAMMER!
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
It took me a day to carve out time for this, but it was worth the wait. Really interesting look into the development process. -
Without watching the video (sorry, listening to yesterday's Fogelnest Files), I still have my initial confusion as to how the hell these things are on a hard drive as opposed to in the cloud. The whole thing feels like a make-em-up version of money.

Episode 006 — Shut Up and Have Fun with Danny Mahoney
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project
It was weird how he identified that song as "Monster Mash" instead of the correct "Monster Fuck". -
Having ordered it as a kid, I know that there was a No Holds Barred movie/match combo pay-per-view, which was the movie (I don't know if it ran in theaters before that or not) and then a match between Hogan (not in character from the movie) and Zeus (who wrestled there and beyond as his movie character).

I don't know if it was intentional or not, but this episode ended up being a perfect tie-in for tonight's Review. -

"Come on, it's not that kind of a show." "It's been a while."
