Episode 79 — MAD AS HELL
Kickpuncher replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Fogelnest Files with Jake Fogelnest
Great episode. I haven't seen the movie in a while, and I don't think any pre-existing knowledge of it would be necessary to enjoy this. -
Episode 004 — The Travel Bug with August Lindt

Oh, well that's still kind of amazing. Three of the first five presidents? -

Is this like those Snapple cap "facts"? Because it looks like Adams is the only one of those three who died on July 4th. -
For anyone who watched tonight's Parks & Rec(reation), I like to think that during their day together, Ben and Larry bonded over how much fun they had doing podcasts with Scott this week.

Episode 1 — From Boy to Under a Blood Red Sky

I think it was in a pretty ubiquitous commercial a year or two ago. But he did say "The Dire Straits", so I'd say his story checks out. -

I feel like this must have been recorded before TDAP Chapter 31 (which was incredible, by the way), because otherwise Paul probably would have gone deeper on the Anne Frank talk. They also missed the joke that the 4/20 invasion of Amsterdam occurred on Hitler's birthday. I'm glad we now have two data points showing that asking about the N word is a HUGE laughter trigger for PFT. Plastic rules, nature drools. -
The Sloppy Timmy PSA was AMAZING, and a complete surprise.

I guess in theory, it could be like that, but if you actually listened to it, it's really not like that (or, what I imagine that would be, anyway) at all. I think I could listen to an hour of nothing but these guys saying "Achtung Baby" and Scott signing the bass line from "With or Without You". -
But a manometer is a real thing (pronounced differently, but still), so maybe he was intentionally making that pun.

Awesome episode. I really love when the hosts/guests are just trying to decipher batshit bonkers plot points, and this episode was almost nothing but that. "Shit happens" definitely wasn't a phrase in 1916, because it was coined by Forrest Gump.

Great episode, really cool topic and good guests. I got curious during last week's episode and looked up the Grammy results, so I was spared the heartbreak of having it broken to me here. Happy for Aaron (and Wife), but sad that he's leaving.

Yeah, I also thought it was just a mistaken conflation of Donatello and Michelangelo; if not, I don't really get what the 'joke' is other than just a silly reference. Anyway, O'Heir is not someone I would have thought of in a list of most-wanted guests, but as soon as I saw the episode listing, I figured he'd be great (improv background, works with multiple frequent guests, always seems like an all-around great guy) and he totally delivered. Definitely agree with the comment that Scott should get Retta on the show, both because she's awesome and because it will get CBB one closer to completing the P&R cast set.

Great episode, Gethard killed it as usual. -
Episode 003 — Get Fit Now with Bill Carter

I would bet on Danny Mahoney, Life of the Party. Maybe also August Lindt (sp?). Really hoping for Hot Dog. -

This is great. On a related note, I keep forgetting to say it, but I LOVE the main ADPPP theme music. -

No, I agree, this was merely an A++ whereas the first two were each a solid A+++. Line that made me laugh the hardest - "Now start doing bicep curls with the wolf pups." -
I heard some hints about the person to whom you're referring, so I looked it up, and at least as of then (last weekend, I think), it wasn't on IMDB, even in the 'uncredited' section. If anyone is curious, it's easy enough to find, particularly if you know what character they play.

Great episode. Nice to stretch it out a bit after some short episodes. It was pretty funny when Graham "corrected" Howard for his perfectly correct pronunciation of "Alfonso Cuaron".
-
Science! Great guest, very good episode.

"Milk? ... Oh, boobies!"

That and "Is it one of the Pretty Little Liars?" were two tossed-off lines that absolutely killed me. These two bring out the best on the Scottabot. (Oh, hell, everyone brings out the best in him.) As if this episode wasn't amazing enough for the first hour-plus, we get an extended Mildred & Patty Hill riff, an extended "Touch Me"/Cantina theme medley, and a Gilly Cantina theme solo.

Episode 002 — Hail Satan with Chip Gardner

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Jess plays Andy's wwwFRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS on "Review". I don't think he's in the regular cast of "Playing House" though. -
Good note in case anyone is considering how long it might take to die if they play Houdini in a Poison Tipped Foot Knife Battle.

The only thing that was missing from Howard's hilarious antagonism of Cody is the opening of gifts for Howard, Kulap, and Brett.
