1. Normally I wouldn't support a guest defying the hosts as many times as Cody did, but man he was fucking nailing it. I mean talk about a take no prisoners all out reaming. Hey S&H, you two seeing straight yet after the circles Cody ran around you? My question for the engineers: First let me say thank you for being so generous with your time and I'm such a big fan. So what was Engineer Doug like?
2. Oh man this is so good. I posted pictures of Hayes' face during the two times Pete referenced it in the other thread! It's pretty blurry, but you can definitely tell that Pete was accurate in everything he said and totally wasn't trying to get status back by making fun of him. Some funny visual things were when Hayes called Brett back and told him to take his gum, he put it in Brett's drink. They were also making fun of what Brett was wearing, which were shorts and a t-shirt, saying he looked like he was on a disgusting vacation. I guess he wore shorts because that's a thing for Who Charted (to wear shorts in the summer?) and expected the guy from that show to wear shorts too, but the guy wore pants. So Brett got screwed by both shows. At least I think, I didn't get any of the references and was pretty confused by most of the Who Charted portion... but it seemed like a lot of fun.
3. Robin Williams helps a woman write a book about his murder from heaven. At around 4:50 there's a pretty big reveal that before he was murdered, the Jesuits replaced his penis with a balloon.
4. Dead man's curve made me think of this song before I listened to the one you posted, so I dunno if it works. I guess it would. The only other song the title made me think of was that Last Kiss song, which I think is just straight up a story of a dead man's curve accident. Don't use that one. Also, I agree with all of chanson's sentiments regarding tim and the other person who is very funny on here the he referenced. I mean to say that tim sucks and ssb is real funny and shizz. suck it tim!
5. Pretty sure Hayes is thinking about how he could be outside playing on such a nice day.
6. As cool as any guy who's ever had to start an introduction with "I know you from the internet" can be, I hope. B) B)
7. Last night was so fun! I also went back to my girlfriend who was saving my seat and my drink after Agata pulled the tequila prank. The hangout sesh was also super cool and I definitely didn't go home and fret over everything thing I said/did afterward. Some other guest related scoops were: - Pete Holmes likes money - The Pete Holmes Show was actually a reality show similar to the True Man Show - Conan O'brien is suing Pete Holmes There were two parts where Pete stopped the show just to comment on how Hayes' face looked and I tried to take a picture of both of those moments, but they came out pretty blurry. The first time Second time
8. Was anybody else super touched when friends on fb said how sad it was that they never got the chance to work with Robin Williams? That just seems like such a sad thing for them to be going through. This episode was very good especially the part where sean called jessica out on what bears wear. The whole bear part was the best part actually.
9. Jessica, your twitter profile states that you are part native-american so do you find offensive when people refer to you as a trailblazer? Oh and I'm going to the live show toooo. I'm bringing a baseball glove to catch all the hot scoops the guys are gonna be slingin
10. guys this is so friggin twisted hayes is gonna be PISSED!!!
11. Thanks for keeping the ship righted Tim. I've been getting busier lately and have mostly been checking the boards on my phone which, regardless of what a certain host would have you believe, is very easy to like things from, but not very easy to post from. I'll def be posting some braggy pics of next Tuesday, you can count on that. Honestly though, I don't feel like I ever really caught my stride on the HH boards and have mostly just been coasting by on old RSS references. Oh well. I'm not sure what this is. Is it similar to a potatah?
12. Some pretty hot scoops regarding the Foxtrot movie. I'm disappointed they didn't confirm/deny any of the casting rumors around who would be doing the CG work for Jason's pet lizard though. Most sources are speculating that Paul Giamatti will be the one donning the green suit and eating bugs, which seems like a pretty obvious choice. I was hoping for somebody a little more surprising, like a Kevin Hart or Sara Silverman. Somebody who can really emote those little, judgmental break in the fourth wall, lizard looks that Quincy was known for. I made a picture of Johnny Pemberton with some balls drawn on his cheek and a caption that read "Do I have gum on my face?" as a reply to his call to arms, but I deleted it. He got pretty crazily defensive out of no where, so I'm wondering if he's maybe had problems with message boards slinging dicks on his face in the past and his anger was more directed at them.
13. Got tickets to this! I'll be the one wearing a homemade "Suck my {redacted} #IHABAPAMTAHA30C" tee who's loudly explaining how I was into these guys before they started this show. If I drink enough I'll probably shout "Tanks but no Tanks" over whatever new segment they're doing too. Can't wait!
14. Man, I remember hearing around when ILNY was popular that a show was pitched where Tango would teach Mr. Boston how to be cool and take him around showing him how to pick up girls. Why wasn't that show made?? I would have watched the shit out of that. Whoa, my b-day is on Monday too. There are a lot of forum birthdays this month. Cheers to all of our parents getting nasty on Halloween.
15. Simdad - Are you like a fake dad? You can't tell me what to do.
16. That's cool, I love stories about pockets of creativity in unexpected places where a bunch of people collaborate and all get big at the same time, like Wham City in Baltimore or Saddle Creek in Omaha. Next up is the fucking Hollywood Handbook forums! I'm calling it now! There's also a cool punk scene going on in San Jose right now and if you like punk you should maybe check out my friends' band. They're going on tour and I also wouldn't recommend them if I didn't think they were really good - http://www.punknews.org/bands/hardgirls
17. Chanson's not that hard. There once was a user named Chanson Who had the coolest dad that you can, son He was obsessed with Seattle A place if you ever be at he’ll explain the fun things to do, or at least help you plan some I've been trying to be more nice than funny lately. It probably shows.
18. This is really good so far B-rulz. I also saw on fb that your friend(?) was in a video with Yoni Wolf, which I thought was really cool. I'm def a big fan of Why and other anticon stuff. I also want to shout out to Showshowbro and give thanks for the music reqs he posted while ago. I went to a Burger beach bash thing a few weekends ago that was fun and I would have overlooked if I hadn't checked out some of the bands based on that post.
19. ANDY!! This was so awesome!! I have to know- When you met Hayes and Sean, did they call you Andy Nice or Andy Niece?
20. It's funny that Sean O'conner doesn't like his voice, because when I looked up a picture of his face, my gut told me I would 100% not like a thing it told me, but then I heard those words falling out in that sweet Owen Wilson-like voice and thought he was great! Isn't Sparkbox the same business as Toygaroo - the only loser in the Cubes' Tank portfolio? Can the next set of ads explain how it's a different model and that they're not just proving Kevin right every time he says "There's nothing proprietary. If it's successful what's gonna stop one of the big box guys from coming along and doing it too?" Except in this case their copying a company that went bankrupt. I thought pause at the end of the cards against humanity ad was really funny. Felt like they were just running out the clock. Rue Manor, but only meta-physically.
21. I look forward to reading some of greggland's best every morning. You've def come a long way. Remember when Matt Besser yelled at you? That was scary. I don't get corny jokes I think it was mostly booze and getting caught up in the excitement of the Challenge finale/ and I don't wanna tmi with rill life so... maybe. I wish I could say my life wasn't so far gone that I'm eating pasta for breakfast, but the first thing I ate today was leftover stroganoff and it was fuckin good! Wear that badge with pride Chanson.
22. Yo MBoP, I'm watchin the Challenge Reunion and Johnny B just told Jordan "Confidence is silent; insecurity is loud," or something like that which inspired me to make this mistake of a post. Sorry, I've been having a few Gold Rushes. Anyway, the point is don't worry about people like'n/ commenting on your shit. You're one of the funniest dudes on here and if some things don't hit, who cares? Just post what you think is funny and forget about it cuz you're gonna whiff 100% of the jokes you're doubting. 'Likes' are prob the worst byproduct of online communication bc getting a lot feels like quantifiable appreciation of whatever you put out, but really there's weird shit involved with groups and individuals that either encourage or discourage them. It's really easy to feel like you fucked up cuz something you put out there didn't get likes, but really if you found it funny, you should just feel good that you tried to share something funny with friends, or in this forum's case, strangers who like the same podcast, and they just maybe didn't get it. Can't get them all every time. But if you wanna diffuse the audience after a stinker, just say " sorry, that was my joko ono, I had a really good rhythm going and that one really killed the beat..les." then shoot a finger gun to the prettiest girl in the audience and say "she knows what I'm talking about."That'll guaranteed bring'em back on your side. For your script thing, I couldn't read it bc my manager told me that just being in the room with scripts where i have less than 75% of the lines, let alone reading them, would degrade my brand. So I couldn't do it. Sorry. Tim Treese specifically telling Agata that he isn't liking something on fb totally proves the point I'm trying to make. smh.* Although, I gotta say it was really funny when whoever is the user Sydney Bristow, who has only ever posted to say they wanted one of the Garfunkel and Oates people on, liked a person saying how much more they like Gelmania than this show. That means they read these forums, don't contribute at all to them, but will sign in to specifically show that they think some other show is better. That's some good funny stuff imo. *since I'm not saying no to myself in this regrettable moment, I was just going to bring up that I can never remember what smh stands for so I try to figure it out through its context and Suck my Hog is an option that always runs though my head and it works like 95% of the time.
23. I'm still holding out for Royal, but there were votes all across the board so maybe a group photo??
24. What was with the strange jump-cut near the end of this episode? I'm sure Engineer Codee is to blame, but what happened? Did his fingers get all tangled in the cords of the recording equipment while he was pretending to type "images of glaives"? Did a bee fly into his mouth while he was giving one those big ol' Codee bear yawns we keeping hearing in the background? What's the story? Otherwise great ep! EDIT: Oh it was engingeer Sam, I can't tell them apart.
25. Sorry, I don't want to spoil anything so EDIT: Royal, please.
