Gotta say, I was skeptical when Besser said he wanted to make the podcast best in the universe.. figured the structure of the show was too limited, but he's really done a great job in opening it up - tell us your story, debates w/ the stranger/emily bazelon... even lengthy hitler teapot debate is cool.

Besser can be a bully sometimes but he seems to be aware of it. The purpose of having a debate especially on a comedy improv/show isn't to hear two people conduct themselves cordially. I agree w Jacob C, the show tends to tackle the sensitive issues on its own. Case closed is basically a form of fan interaction, done via phone/skype no less. Prob best to have the segment kept within Star Trek minutia territory, that way we can hear a heated discussion w/o having to hear some everyman earwolf listener get chewed out for being on the wrong side of the culture wars.

Great podcast. I think that I4H is the perfect venue in podcastland for us to become more connected to UCB and its inner workings. Some questions I have as a listener, maybe helpful for a future episode: 1. Del Close. Who is this dude? What's his background? What's his deal? Tell us some stories! 2. Talk shop with some folks that are known from improv/sketch but outside the UCB world. The state, Michael McKean/Eugene Levy + co, Whose line.. You guys are all intelligent + self-aware enough to prevent this from veering into 'it might get loud' territory. 3. What K_M asked.

i went on this thread just to suggest g. proops, and am pleasantly surprised by how many others want him on too. I think that the appeal of proops as a guest is that a lot of of us diehard i4h fans grew up watching 'whose line' reruns on comedy central. meanwhile, it's always a thrill to see folks known outside the ucb world try their hand at the harold. so seeing a whose line alum cross paths with besser & co. would be a real treat for many i4h fans. proops, as an active member in comedy podcast world w/ ties to earwolf, seems like a great fit. and at the risk of getting beaten up, i'm just gonna say that it would be super cool to get ryan stiles or colin mochrie on too.
