Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Which made me wonder ... is this movie Sylvester Stallone's homage to Apocalypse Now? With Broadway instead of Vietnam?

Episode 90 — Sharknado 2: The Second One
hornacek replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
CORRECTIONS AND OMISSIONS: When Judd Hirsch goes to swing across the water, he says that one of his legs is fake. This was a huge missed opportunity for him to swing across, have a shark grab one of his legs and rip it off, but he completes the swing and says "It's ok, he grabbed my fake leg!" Also, I watched the first Sharkando and listened to its podcast before watching Sharkando 2. In the previous podcast, you talk about Fin getting swallowed by the shark and cutting his way out of the shark and you all agree that it would have been much better if he had been swallowed by the shark and he went straight out the other end of the shark, chainsaw cutting his way. That happens in Sharknado 2! Did Thunder Levin listen to your podcast and add that in his script? -
While the "hero has an evil doppelganger that switches places with them and nobody notices" is hardly an original storyline, as the podcast kept going I found myself more and more convinced that this film had been remade as Muppets Most Wanted. So I guess my question is, Would Constantine have eventually raped Miss Piggy is Kermit hadn't stopped the wedding?

Paul, when you were on the Soup two weeks ago with Rob Huebel and you dramatized what it would be like if The Wanted fought One Direction and you pretended to almost kiss him, how close did his raw sexuality and extreme masculinity almost take you over and make you start kissing him for real?

Ebert LOVED this movie and was serious about getting Voigt a Best Supporting Oscar nomination. I'd recommend having him as the guest, but his health problems probably make that too complicated.

They invited Kevin Smith specifically because of his Superman story and his interaction with Peters so it'd be stupid of them not to have him tell it. Why would they invite someone who has a connection to the movie and then never ask them to tell the story of how/why they are connection to the movie? This wasn't an occurrence of Smith taking over the podcast - this was Smith being asked questions and responding. They kept asking him to tell them more about Peters and the script - if he had said "nah, let's just talk about this movie" everyone would have said "what a waste to have him on when he didn't talk about what he had to do with WWW". Like him or not, but he did exactly what he was asked to do with this podcast - talk about his connection with this movie, and talk about this movie. Should we have been equally upset when Non from Superman III talked so much about his background and life? Or when Punisher: War Zone director talked about her online Punisher research or dealings with the studio? Of course not.

In The Dark Knight Rises, when Batman says "So that's what that feels like", that's a quote from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.

I hope you talk about how the Wild Wild West music video is better than the movie.

How could you not have mentioned the WORST line of the movie? "Holy sheet metal, Batman!" If people didn't know by this point that they were watching a terrible movie with no respect for the source material, this did it.
