Episode 18 — Lamorne Morris, Our Close Friend
burdrulz replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Chanson. You are right and you are kind of right. As far 'hipsters' (whatever that even means anymore) being entrepreneurs I can personally speak to that... The follow through with ideas generally is lacking I'd say for the most part. Even in my own personal endeavors, getting an idea off the ground is just like not coooolll. For example a friend and I wanted to make circleshirts.co where we sold shirts with circles on them and that was it. It was supposed to kind of be an exercise in 'anti branding'. Because working in this industry that I work in, you begin to really fucking hate 'brands'. After printing the shirts, doing design for the website, even buying the domain and shit, we just were like... let's not do this anymore, and decided that we would shut it down. One of the biggest reasons for this was seeing Taylor Swift wearing a circle shirt someone else made in one of her videos. We knew then that we had missed the boat. We even went so far as to begin early concept work on our social media materials. Here's a video we shot to advertise. I really think it gets the point across... Sort of NSFW... sorry bros at work Also sort of NSFP (I'm too cool for embedding) -

It snowed so bad here again tonight that a truck got stuck outside my apartment. I'm worried I'm going to have to 'help' the person. I've got my knife, fake gun, hatchet, and mace all in my pocket ready to 'defend' myself -

When you guys were kids, did you always really wish that Chris Hardwick and Jenny Mcarthy were like totally fucking back stage of singled out? Keep in mind I was just starting puberty when that show came out, so my mind was a filth trap. -

Episode 17 — Dominic Dierkes, Our Close Friend
burdrulz replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Lamorne, How many times have you walked into a Sauna and been like "this is my kind of place." Couple, Nude, Crude, Rude, Dudes, enjoying some steam together. My girlf, just said "you can ask him what it was like to meet prince?" So, what was it like to meet prince? Then she said, "Or you can ask him why they got rid of the other black guy, then brought him back?" I then mentioned to her that this was already a topic discussed on the podcast in the first ep. So you don't have to answer that question. Do you like Keenan Thompson? Do you wonder how he is still 'relevant'? If you were offended by my girlfriends question earlier, can you please understand that she is 1/8 Cherokee. -

Damn i don't know if i got my question in time. Dom, When writing in Hollywood, how often to you have to remind yourself that you've made the right career choice when you compromise your artistic integrity, by looking over at your sexy car, truck, and SUV, and remember that the toys are nice? Do you also own a boat? -

So i've been working on the Hollywood handbook opening title sequence. Motion stuff takes way more time than static graphic stuff, so it's been really slow going. I probably wont have anything for a while, but I have story boards and i've started the character illustrations. The point of this is it's been really fun to illustrate, in order I might ad, Meg Ryan, Richard Gere, Michelle Pfiefer, and Rupert Grint. Next is Sean and Hayes. Hopefully you all will think it's cool. There will be lots of destruction of 'hollywood' buildings, fire, and blood. That's all i can really say for now. I don't want to talk it up to much incase it sucks and you all have to pretend to be nice, or just be honest and tell me it sucks. -

I'd just like to go on record and say I think Frankie Muniz is a great idea. He's in a 'cool' band now so maybe you could get the whole band on the show and just have the whole hour be them being cool. Or just talk about mini strokes. You could also ask him to speak on owning the jetta from teh first fast and furious movie. Possibly see if he can channel Paul Walkner or something. The mom's idea is good too -

Let me know if I need to drop some Louisville key words to spark his interest, like, Papa John's Stadium, Cardinals, Bardstown Road, Muhammed Ali, Baseball bats, kentucky derby, and Not providing reasonable health insurance for your employees. My parents still live down there so if I need to do any campaigning to get him it shouldn't be a problem. I just feel like if he knows an avid fan of the p-cast is 'one of his own' he will be more apt to do it. -

This episode was grade a funny. couple notes. 1. I grew up in Louisville, and I don't know if you guys realize the pull Papa John has there. He's like the biggest thing ever, and he's the most down bro ever. He's been there for me so much in my life. The time jimmy and some of my other bros 'took it too far' with that skank tina. The time Jimmy accidentally killed a homeless man. That time Jimmy and Craig gambled all of my cousins dads dealership money away. That time our bro Darren got tina pregnant again. That time we were at the UL UK game and we got in that big fight with all the people. whoa. and also that time we just needed like 45 zas I will say, i still love that pizza I got so side tracked i forgot all the other fun points I was going to make about the episode. -

You shoulda called in, it was actually really cool. I'm pretty sure I got to talk to brett, or which ever engineer was there running the calls at the time. Who ever it was, he was really nice and cool. i was on hold for like 5 minutes I think. It was weird because I was supposed to be meeting these two dudes to talk about a music video we have since shot, and I made them wait to talk until I got on the show. So they were sitting there for like 20 minutes just watching me be all giddy and shit that I was gonna be on this podcast. I remember being really nervous and trying to be funny, which failed miserably. But it was really cool for sure that they gave their fans the opportunity to do that. -

Did you ever call in? I was 'john from Cincinnati'. I had no idea what they were talking about and just sort of brushed it off. Days later, I learned that this was a failed HBO show or something... -

I loved it. What I thought was some 'fail' ings happening with the pranks, little did i know it was simply the prankee trying to jujitsu the prank back onto Hayes and Sean. I was really impressed with their ability to jujitsu the pranks back onto the people said prank was originally intended for. Too bad Shelby couldn't hang... -

Dominic, Do you like like Dominos pizza? Do like how close your name is to the food you're eating? Do you remember Derek comedy? Was that funn? How do I make funny things? Who is Jessie J? Is there noodz? Staycation or Vacation? (don't make me pick amiright?) Do you hate your fucking job like the rest of the country, in our shit hole mediocre cities that have to fight like crazy for something as simple as good public transportation, which will continue the growth of it's urban core. Constantly feeling like you're "going down with a sinking ship" and regret ever moving back. Do you with you still lived in brooklyn with all your friends, and hate the fact that you may or may not be making all the wrong choices? Thanks, please feel free to 'dine on these' and if need be I can give you my $25 Olive Garden gift certificate which my girlfriends parents gave me for christmas. All you can eat breadsticks Dominic. Are you finished with that soup or salad..? Let me bring you another. -
