Episode 11 — Jake Fogelnest, Our Close Friend

So I hate to get serious on here, even though I have been a lot lately. Sorry ma bros and girl (veebs obvs) But I've been curious for a long time if anyone on these forums was actually practicing comedy, or being a performer... or whatever. I don't even know how to put it. But it's really cool that you've taken classes at the UCB and I was wondering if you could comment on that? Ever since I was in my early 20s i've been going to the UCB chelsea to see shows. I have a good friend that's big in the NY comedy scene, and she's kind of been somewhat of an insight into that world. Ive partied with some performers after shows and stuff, but i've never actually thought I myself was funny or interesting enough to pursue something like that. So I guess my question, for andy or anyone who could 'speak on that', is what's it like? Is it fun or is it intimidating? I'm not trying to like start a career in this whole world, but I'm just crazy interested in it. Keep in mind that I'm someone who knows really nothing about this, i've just recently purchased the UCB handbook or whatever because I'm just fascinated and want to learn a bit more. 2. Wheat things. Triscuits are too 'healthy' -

Bruce Reid, and Narnold, and whomever else who is catching up on forum culture, I too have tons of tattoos a lot of them are pretty hillarious and terrible in a good way? not sure but maybe i'll know if I still think it's funny when I'm like 40 or something. Anyway, what is the funniest tattoo you have? Why is it funny? Please speak on this? I can lead this to start. I have a ghost vomiting on my shoulder. When i was younger I wanted to do 'banksys' and i thought it would be cool if this was my 'tag' I recognize and realize this is both stupid and stupid. But I don't care, it cracks me up. -

1. I worked at Vice when I was younger and there would be 'cool' famous people walking through there all the time. I saw spike Jonzeeee but didn't 'meet' him. Me and my friend are doing some work for Eugene Mirman and he got to meet him... I still have not got to meet him and I'm very upset about this. 2. I'd be cool to meet Eugene... because I feel like I should get to meet him, since my god damn friend got to meet him... fucking friend. 3. Fuji Apple with a grape pre-ban four loko (I realize posting actual information about my life isn't necessarily 'funny' or probably not even 'cool' but for some reason I don't care) -

you guys should do a dramatic reading of : Cool teens and even cooler parents, getting ahead in this 'internet crazed' society. Keep it 'crunk' but keep it positive. It's a working title, but I really think the kids at the youth group are going to think I myself am a cool mon. -

You guys, I had to skip all the forum and not read any of it yet because i'm so excited to announce my new Holiday Sale. Veebs asked for it, and we got it. Hollywood Handbook shirts. Hayes... Sean... Ask earwolf if we can make these because idk bout you bros, but I want one. If earwolf doesn't listen to our demands let's just make them ourselves and get sued by Scott saucer-mon We got my favorite, the simple but chill bro version. (obviously these are all tank tops, figured that was pretty obvious why) Next, by request of our favorite Hollywood Handbook Lady Veebs, the "Chilled out bro-ling" And lastly, not to big of a departure here, but it could be funny to have a composition notebook shirt. Look, it's just an idea you don't have to criticize it.- 86 replies

Maybe we should abandon the forums and see what happens... I feel like it's too late to do that. I love you all too much now. btw, American Horror Stories season 2 on netflix. I only have two words to describe it... Very Scary. There is not nearly enough butts and side boobs to keep me from feeling safe and 'un scared' DO NOT WATCH THIs show. There's even a franklinstein in it i think. -

Hey Not the Narnold, I think you missed what I was hoping to happen here. I was really hoping that you and I could get in a heated debate about the Steelers vs. The Bengals. It seems like everyone who lives here loves to talk about how much they hate the steelers, and I assumed it was the same in Pittsburgh. I don't really care, but we could pretend to 'get into it' -

Not the Narnold. I am just now realizing you are from Pittsburgh. I assume you're a huge sport head like myself. I'm at the sports all the time, you name it i'm playin' it, accept cricket because all things british are totally boring including their comedies. But, our two cities have a big football rivalry. Speak on that? -

Damnit!!! I effin' knew it. I've been telling Hayes for years to switch it up to a Puch or something. He insisted on 'throwing a kit on' his tomos. I was like, "listen man, we're talkin' 70 cc!!!! you're going to regret this bro. Besides, you don't want that step through shitttt" I truly hope your butt's okay and I feel your pain road dawgy. Wild Hog's Heck's Angels, we are praying for you ma brav. *Hayes at the latebirds rally last year. -

Guys... I guess we should talk about it. I'm surprised our dear host haven't brought it up yet. Brian had tendency to use the nitrous a little bit too early in a race. Dom would look over his left shoulder (out of his 98 rx-7) and clearly state to Brian, and all of us... To soon... I think we can all reflect on this right now p.s. Actually sort of sad about this honestly. I've loved to hate to love this dude since high school first Paul walk memory, fast and furious 1 (my favorite point break remake), loved it, leaving the theater in manchester connecticut and joining a bunch of people in doing burn outs in my 91 civic hatch back. What's your first paul walk memory? -

Veebs, love you girl, gotta say, Mario galaxy was too much of a gimmick to me. The physics were cool, but the gameplay and story lacked compared to marios in the past... in my opinion. Zelda lost me after ocarina of time, but that probably shows my age. I celebrated it, I ate it all kinds of food and drank all kinds of alcohol in front of my parents. I'm not sure if you've ever tried to get drunk in front of your parents, but it's impossible, they judge you the whole time. Im' not exactly sure what my mom is getting for christmas. My brother bought the gifts already and I just have to pay for half. She will not know this is our process for buying her gifts and I will try my best to pretend I really put my heart into purchasing the gift. I've had so many blogs that i've forgotten about that I stopped trying. But it's funny to go back and re read them. A dog was given to me in an attempt to save a failing relationship and though I was very apprehensive about it, he was one of the best things to happen to me and taught me a lot about responsibility. -
