pepperjack replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Deborah Van Valkenburgh was in The Warriors! -
Ryan Bingham is fantastic.

Xmas music is the worst. Regular Xmas music, not the bundle, of course.

Is this too much time with the guest or not enough? I can't figure how to complain properly...

I feel like I had a Skor Bar recently, so I think they still exist. When I was young it was considered a 'grown-up' candy for some reason.

If Blake and Gwen are Clinton and Lewinski, does that make Pharrell Ken Starr?
-
Man i'm old. I was thinking they were referencing HΓΌsker DΓΌ the band (and the old board game which gave the band its name), but I think they were referencing the joke in Joe Dirt?

Ooh, and just for June. Patrick Stewart was in I, Claudius with hair as the bastard Sejanus but it was a wig!

This is bit of a tangent but a Lifeforce being a movie about space vampires reminded me of stumbling across a netflix movie called 'Teenage Space Vampires.' It had a rating of PG for 'mild alien vampire violence,' which I always thought was someone at netflix having a laugh. But it's on the imdb page: http://www.imdb.com/...g#certification

As with most things, It sounds a lot better coming out of Mitch Hedberg.

"Cronkite didn't like the war in Rhodesia." It's official, Howard is 75 years old. Haha. -
Wonder if they were waiting until an Armen episode to bring this guy in.
-
Is that Matt Gourley?

Only 845 miles to St Louis on I70 from here! Of course, it was only 100 miles on the 95 to Philly for that show. Totally in for the Cove Fort show, though...

Weirdly I have 'Go Bayside' and 'The Foglenest Files' still subscribed in my podcast list, despite nothing from either in months. Then, today, a new Bayside appeared and Jake is on Who Charted. Funny coincidence.

What film got you into the podcast?
pepperjack replied to Cockney Mackem's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I saw Rifftrax do Birdemic and was perusing the wiki page for the movie and it mentions HDTGM with 'Weird Al.' I think they were a few episodes past at that point, but I caught up. -
Anaconda - 38% hahahahahahahaha

East Lansing, though, not Ann Arbor.

Lots of famous folks from Baltimore (as one would expect from a big city). We claim Billy Holiday and Cab Calloway, Frank Zappa and David Byrne, Josh Charles (a big Orioles fan) and Julie Bowen. Minimalist composer Philip Glass was born here. Jada Pinkett and her bestie Tupac Shakur went to Baltimore School of the Arts together. Dru Hill is named after a local park (grudgingly this means we also have to claim, SisqΓ³). Mama Cass is from here. John Waters (no relation) and Barry Levinson like to set movies in their hometown. Mugsy Boggus, Babe Ruth, and Tavon Austin are/were local. Oprah and Mike Rowe were anchors on the local TV stations here. I could go on...

Awww. Sugar Ray did a cover of Adam Ant before going mainstream. They weren't always bad...

I think we've lost our Howard forever to that Pacific Archipelago...

No one can end an album like Howard Kremer.
