  1. I am interested to hear Scott and Scott's take on this album because it contains IMO the single worst U2 song - 'A Man and a Woman'.

    Episode 85.5 β€” Minisode 85.5

I'll say it again, the longer version of Color of Night is straight-up terrible in its own right. It still looks like a low- budget TV movie and the acting is just as horrendous.

Episode 284 β€” A Thrilling CBB Adventure Hour

Now that we finally got another Thrilling Adventure Hour crossover episode, it is time for the Super Ego guys to return to CBB.

Episode 284 β€” A Thrilling CBB Adventure Hour

. Maron, Reggie and Neil Campbell have got to be the guests for the b-b-b-bonus ep.

    Review

It truly deserves a second season! Just amazing TV.

    Episode 283 β€” The 5th Anniversary Show!

I'm taking a wild guess that tomorrow's guests will be Reggie, Marc Maron and Neil Campbell?
  7. "Play the blues Edge!" - Gerald.
  8. "If you're gonna go out, go out kicking the green animal." - Scott.

    Episode 40 β€” Music

Maybe it's just me but for me, Liz seemed a bit impatient with Michael and Michael.

    Episode 283 β€” The 5th Anniversary Show!

That's Gillian Bellows Jacobs, thank you very much.

    Episode 283 β€” The 5th Anniversary Show!

NO BRETT GELMAN?!?!?!?! Just kidding! Amazing lineup!!

    Episode 282 β€” Wompster's University

Tonight is like Christmas Eve, waiting for the 5th anniversary show. Seems like Wompler, Listler and Reardon will be there. Who else? Maybe Gino? Maybe the Stallones? Don Dimello? Cake Boss (cake boss)? Jesse the mind body and soul Ventura? The Pepper Men? The Bachelor Brothers? Bjork? Dr Bronner? Okay, that was probably one step too far.

Episode 85 β€” Color of Night

I watched the producer's cut. Trust me, those extra 20 minutes only made the movie even more bone-headed. And it looked just as cheaply shot.

Episode 85 β€” Color of Night

This had the worst and most tonally inappropriate score of any film that I have ever seen. I posted this in the other thread as well, but it's like the score for Hocus Pocus was just re-appropriated for this movie

Episode 85 β€” Color of Night

I watched the 2hr 20 min version and I very much dispute that it was worth watching .

    Episode 84.5 β€” Minisode 84.5

As a psychologist, it's totally okay to share confidential information about a patient with other patients on a frequent basis, right? Thought so! In the words of a great woman, this movie was so upsetting.

    Episode 84.5 β€” Minisode 84.5

I definitely agree that it was a big lull in his career, but this one must have had the budget of a TV movie . I am shocked he had to sink THIS low.

    Episode 84.5 β€” Minisode 84.5

This movie is 2 hours and 20 minutes long? Seriously? Why the fuck would Bruce Willis have agreed to do this schlocky, seemingly low-budget P.O.S. in 1994 Nice that they re-used the score from Hocus Pocus!

    Episode 8 β€” Pop

The impact of this podcast on my feelings about U2 has been pretty amazing. I, like Scott and Scott, was a fan in my youth (the All That You Can't Leave Behind era, which led me to go back into their back catalogue), but in recent years I had been so turned off by the bloated ego-centric behavior of the group and had written them off totally. But I'll be damned if re-listening to these albums hasn't made me enjoy a lot of the older material again. So much so, that I just ordered From the Sky Down after hearing Scott and Scott talk so much about it. I now sort of feel like U2 are kind of their own worst enemy because they manage to outshine SOME genuinely good songs ('Elvis Ate America' - I'm NOT talking to you) with bullshit grandiosity like MacPhisto, PopMart and 'Get on Your Boots'. I do give them credit - they're not afraid to go big. That leads to some genuinely interesting stuff (like Zooropa and War), and some downright garbage (Pop, No Line). I'm babbling now. I guess I'm just trying to thank Scott and Scott for helping me remember that U2 created some genuinely interesting and important music (along with a helping of true crap as well).

    Episode 282 β€” Wompster's University

I think Reardon is in for a Wompler-sized rude awakening on the anniversary show next week!
  21. And she came up with a very practical million dollar idea!

    Episode 130 β€” 4/20 Special

A great capper for an equally great week to be an i4h fan!
  23. Is it crazy that I like Jessica Harper's version of Janet in Shock Treatment better than Susan Sarandon in Rocky Horror? Perhaps they shouldn't even be compared, but Jessica Harper was REALLY good in Shock Treatment.
  24. This is like when Beyond The Fringe reunited for the Secret Policeman's Ball, with Monty Python's Terry Jones standing in for Dudley Moore. Betsy is a worthy fourth addition to a show featuring Matt Walsh, Matt Besser and Ian Roberts.
