    Episode 247 — Half A Score

    Denny Dillon? Woodswoman FTW!!

    Episode 72.5 — Minisode 72.5

I like Laura Linney and all, but could the writer/director have not made it more obvious with the wardrobe, quippy bad-ass characterization that the reason for casting her was - 'Let's get someone who can sort of pass for Laura Dern'?

    Episode 101 — Coma Counting

Matt's performance in the Chinese restaurant scene was equally as amazing as Mookie Blaiklock as the angry atheist a few weeks ago.
  4. I loved the Wild Blue Yonder talk!
  5. There's a great sketch from episode 60 with Seth Morris as an uncle who threatens suicide over lackluster reactions from his niece and nephew to his Christmas gifts.

    CBB Live Tour Episodes

The question is will Scott and PFT do the "I'll allow it, but watch yourself counselor" bit on every show? I believe they've done it on all three thus far.

    CBB Live Tour Episodes

I just received the Portland MP3 via email. Looking forward to this one - Ice-T is back!
  8. Best. Lineup. Ever. Will the Squirrel be in attendance?

    CBB Live Tour Episodes

Has anyone received the Portland show MP3 yet? The two previous shows were released within hours, so I just figured I'd check in case it's an email issue on my end.

    Episode 246 — Butthole Baby

This was a fun one! I have to pee.

    CBB Live Tour Episodes

People on the fence on paying for the tour episodes - as Henry Rollins once said, "Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it!" The Buddy Vel...cro? & Don Dimello episode was amazing and worth the price alone!

    The World's End

No, just kidding! Easily the second best comedy of the summer (behind The Way Way Back) for me. But more people need to pay to see it so Edgar, Simon and Nick can make more movies together! So go see it!! This movie is straight up the alley of Earwolf fans - and for my money it's every bit as good as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and similar Wright-connected stuff like Attack the Block! So go see it!!!!!!

Episode 245 — Poehler Ice Caps

And I think you are are wrong. Just wrong. So, there you go. The world keeps spinning.

Episode 245 — Poehler Ice Caps

You clearly didn't like it. That's cool. All I can say is that I think PFT's performance was funny and that I absolutely feel that he captured Thicke's personality. It's a successful impersonation in my book.

Episode 245 — Poehler Ice Caps

I personally think he did capture the essence of Thicke, especially after recently hearing a few of Alan's ridiculous Howard Stern interviews. Funny is subjective. You say the impersonation wasn't funny. Obviously a lot of people here think it was.

Episode 245 — Poehler Ice Caps

I don't really think anyone turns to PFT's impressions for vocal accuracy. That's Adomian's bag. Paul takes the shell of the C-list famous person and spins it off into weird, crazy areas. As far as why is it worth doing an Alan Thicke impersonation? You could say the same for Garry Marshall, or Andrew Lloyd Webber. Or Adomian's Paul Giamatti (not, inherently, a funny guy) or Huell Howser. The answer is because the characterizations are funny. The person doing the impression imbues those "celebrities" with a quirk that they don't really have. For Thicke, it was Paul's characterization of a snooty actor. So to me, this Alan Thicke impression was the exact opposite of an "epic fail". Total opposite.
  17. It came off to me that Mohr was trying to go more over the top than the "character guest". Like once Matt got going, Jay seemed like he decided that he wanted to be a wacky character too.
  18. No worries - I do the same thing all the time.
  19. I don't think Steve Agee has been on i4h - but he might make a great guest! I'm not a Carolla fan at all so I wouldn't personally want him on an i4h episode, but I do concede that it might make for an interesting episode.

    Episode 71.5 — Minisode 71.5

It also felt like Barry Levinson told Michael Gambon before shooting the first scene, "Hey Mikey, do me a favor, okay? I want you to act is if you were Alan Rickman on crack in 90% of the scenes in this movie. Can you do that for me Mikey?"

    Episode 71.5 — Minisode 71.5

No, no. I LOVED Fast 6. I am a big, big fan of the whole series. Perhaps the one you are thinking of is Gymkata? I didn't get any of the joy out of it that everyone else found. Favorite directors? Woody Allen, David Wain, Truffaut and Michael Winterbottom would be at the top of my list. That said, I love a good (or bad) Stallone-directed mindless action movie too. Favorite movies? 24 Hour Party People, Crimes and Misdemeanors, First Blood, Godfather Part II and The Deal are probably my top five currently.

Also, I should add, I hate this movie so, so much.

    Episode 71.5 — Minisode 71.5

Yeah, IMO there's no other time in history this movie would have been, in the manner in which it was made, than the early 1990s.
