The Cabin in the Woods (2012)
justinmh05 replied to BobbySchenkel's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! at this suggestion. One of the best mainstream movies to come out last year. -
It's been shelved. Fox didn't like Keenan's pilot so they put the whole thing in turnaround.

Ad-uh-man-tee-uhm.

By "miss" Are you angling for the good old days of late July? Sharknado. That episode was preceded by After Earth and Fast and Furious 6 in May and June. I don't see what they are doing as a cop-out at all. You do. That's your right of course. But I think Paul's reasoning for not doing new movies all the time makes total sense - I don't really want to spend $25 per month to ensure that I'm up to date with movies for a podcast. I'm sure there are others who feel the same way.

Neko was great and really got into the spirit of the podcast. Now we need AC Newman on CBB as well. He is always tops on the Best Show on WFMU (Johhhhhhhhn Wesley Shipp) and would fit in well with Scott and crew.

Congrats on the big Marvel role Scott - and for getting ripped!

Episode 96 — Jackie Robotson

I always imagined that Frank Oz looked like Rolf Harris. -
Is this the first episode where both hosts weren't in studio? In any case, great job Nattie Leggs and Sloppy Timmy Slotzman!
-
That's actually the expression that Jaden affixed for most of the movie.
-
I agree. I love all of his characters, but I think my favorites have been David Eros and Choice-Chance from earlier this year. His Stallone was really fun.
-
It's pretty great that Stallone doing a Kickstarter fundraising drive was a bit in this week's episode, considering that Sly has actually just announced a real kickstarter project.

Episode 17 — Marc Maron

Baron von Emotional. -
I think Frank's appearances on CBB are far from over!
-
That one kind of flew by without any mention by the others, eh?
-
The good news is that if Frost and Pegg never come back to CBB, their Connery and Caine impressions could be taken over by Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon.
-
This episode is #1 for the year for me. Holy crap was this amazing!
-
Frost, Pegg and Wright were all in LA this past week - so I'm guessing the b-b-b-b-bonus episode will be a Seth Rogen/Marc Maron WTF-style interview with those three about The World's End. And I'm betting that even people that didn't like the more serious Maron/Rogen eps will be more receptive to Pegg/Frost/Wright.

This one's been suggested before. http://forum.earwolf.com/topic/3692-nicolas-cages-vampires-kiss/page__hl__%2Bnicolas+%2Bcage__fromsearch__1

Yeah, April has mentioned many times on the show wanting to have extras from Saved by the Bell on Go Bayside. Yet, when a guest with a connection to Belding said he'd try to get him to come on the podcast, April said she wasn't sure she wanted that to happen. So Belding must be up to some kind of shenanigans.

There is DEFINITELY an issue between Haskins and Tiffani Thiessen, as this video shows:

HUGE thumbs up to April in this one.

Am I going to be crucified if I say I found this unbearable - as opposed to the glee I'm seeing in most reactions? I end up having a fun time watching most of these movies, but this was just... ugh. I like karate moves. I love batshit craziness. But this movie just came off as super creepy to me.

A ninja KKK. A fucking NINJA KKK!!!!!!

Jon Benjamin's old charac work on the Best Show on WFMU proves he would be the perfect guest on CBB. He lives in New York so maybe that's why he hasn't appeared yet. It's a shame because he could easily be a PFT/Andy Daly level addition to this show.
