    Episode 239 β€” New Dad

Eh I have heard a decent amount of Jay's work on other shows and I definitely don't share you enthusiasm. But he WAS good on this episode. Regarding the Friday CBB b-b-b-bonus ep - perhaps it's coming out on Friday because the new Analyze Phish might come out on Thursday?
  2. Great point - I agree!

    Yes, thank you!

    Blame It On Rio (1984)

Bumping this as it needs to be discussed!

    Episode 68.5 β€” Minisode 68.5

I have a feeling this will be a short episode - or will deal more with Berry's problems with Paul Hogan while writing. Because aside from the few things I and others have mentioned, there's not much to talk about with the actual movie. There's just not that much going on!

    Spring Breakers

I don't think it was. Jon cursed twice, but other than that he was pretty funny.

He's not friends with Scheer anymore? You sure you don't mean PFT?

    Spring Breakers

The Colonel has been on Comedy Bang Bang and Sklarboro before - so perhaps Earwolf has been spared his wrath! He has been known to form strategic alliances with the likes of Jake Fogelnest, Jon "Toilet Mouth" Daly and Paul Scheer in the past well. So I'd guess he was just too busy for The Fogelnest Files and send his Lt. Gary instead.

    Spring Breakers

Perhaps The Colonel Tom Scharp's war on the LA Podcast scene does not include Earwolf? Hopefully?

    Spring Breakers

By the way, did any Best Show of WFMU fans hear Tom's show this past week? He mixed in Franco saying "Spraaaaaaang Break" into his Grateful Dead/Frankie Teardrop/Chuck Woolery megamix in hilarious fashion.

    Spring Breakers

I have to say that I expected to hate this movie because I have really disliked Korine's past work (aside from Kids), but I thought it was fantastic. I agree with the poster who said this is Franco's best performance. Visually it's stunning, and I think it is a particularly effective critique of a particular generation of young people. This is a far cry from Julien Donkey Boy - and thank god for that!

    Episode 68.5 β€” Minisode 68.5

The first one is a legitimately great movie. In fact, I think Paul Hogan was nominated for a Golden Globe for it - which is saying something when you see the kind of "acting" he's doing by Part 3.

And Jocko's line that there's no high-rise building in New York that's as dangerous to be in as a Los Angeles skyscraper. Let's not forget this film was released... in 2001. Oops!

    Episode 68.5 β€” Minisode 68.5

You gotta feel like you wasted a ton of time with the first two, right? Since the events in those films have virtually no impact on #3. I'm watching this now - three things immediately sprung to mind. This movie starts with 15 minutes that have virtually nothing to do with the rest of the movie. And the nonchalance in which the "storyline" shifts is pretty crazy. I put quotes around "storyline" because there is so little story in these 90 minutes, it's stunning. Have you ever wanted to watch a guy wander around Hollywood backlots over and over, while his wife sits at a computer? If so, this movie is for you! Second, it's amazing that this movie was made in 2000/2001. There's never been a movie that feels more like it was a product of 1986. Why does Croc's wife deliver every line of dialogue in the most flippant way possible? I prefer to think that Molis is Mike Ehrmantraut's Eastern European brother.

I support Amen and don't want him to be fired from Who Charted.

    Episode 237 β€” Filipino Blockbuster

I found this one much more enjoyable than the last two. I apologize if that is a controversial statement.

    Episode 237 β€” Filipino Blockbuster

I think this was the best episode since Bob Ducca's return a few weeks back.

Episode 140 β€” Scotty Boy, My Special Boy

I find myself of being in the odd position of having not particularly loved the last Twooch, while also totally loving this episode so far (half-way in). Armen was a very capable replacement for DBS.
  21. I am going to listen to both eps tomorrow - how was the one with Ronna and Beverly?

    Episode 68.5 β€” Minisode 68.5

Whoa whoa whoa, stop the clock! Eddie fucking Pepitone is going to be on next week!! Who cares about who the other guess is- the Bitter Buddha will be appearing on HDTGM!!! Hopefully he brings Margaret and Al.
  23. If I recall correctly, it was on the CBB Best of 2012 specials.
  24. Scott Tabletop just tweeted this - "Tonight! We're doing a LIVE @ComedyBangBang video podcast on @youtube! Special guests! 9pm ET /6pm PST http://www.ZapStraightToIt.com" Possible reference to Mantzoukas there, right? Fans of the Mantzoukas Uniform might get a treat tonight!
