Scott just revealed on Twitter that the great James Adomian will be on Monday's podcast! I'm personally hoping he'll bring Merrill Schindler with him! "Monday! RT @TheTomNix: @ScottAukerman Any plans to bring @JAdomian back to the CBB Podcast soon? We miss him. #CBBQA" He also said they're hoping to do another Womptacular podcast for Marissa's "birthday".

Episode 14 — Henry Rollins
justinmh05 replied to JulyDiaz's topic in By The Way, In Conversation with Jeff Garlin
I love this show and think Jeff is awesome, but in this case I have to agree that he wasn't on top form. On this episode, Jeff seemed more interested in getting across his next joke than actually listening to Rollins. Again, I love By The Way and look forward to every episode. I just think this one was a rare miss. -
Episode 229 — Two Thumbs & Not Much Else

Two VERY good guests - and two that make a ton of sense, considering their major involvement in CBB TV. -
Episode 229 — Two Thumbs & Not Much Else

Anyone else anticipating tomorrow's B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-O-N-U-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S episode as if it were Christmas Eve today? I mean for premiere week last year, we got Tim Heidecker, Reggie Watts, Jon Daly and Andy Daly. I can't even imagine what Scott Tabletop has in store for tomorrw! -
Who knows? I think KPC is recorded in a different than the other Earwolf shows though - although I might be wrong about that.

Adam "Buego" Scott definitely should be in the mix!

Episode 229 — Two Thumbs & Not Much Else
justinmh05 replied to Brett Arnold's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Exactly. Scott's demand for silence during 'Would You Rather' is one of the funniest bits on the show, for me. Especially when he busts out a "Shut the fuck up!" to an unsuspecting guest. I generally don't think it's useful to ask others to explain why something is funny. It either strikes you, or it doesn't. Monty Python was funny to me, despite the fact that I had no knowledge of the English politicians and media personalities they were spoofing. SNL's Patrick and Gunther Kelly sketches are funny to me, despite the fact they aren't actually satirizing anything. The 'Would Your Rather' silence is funny to me... because it is. Scott demanding reverence for something so silly is great. -
Out of all the Phish music played in these podcasts, the only song I can actually say I've liked and bought on iTunes has been 'Bouncing Around the Room', which apparently makes me an asshole to Phish fans, right?

First off - yesssssssss!!!! I haven't listened yet, but please tell me they got into Nathan being an ICP juggalo as well as a Phish-head. Analyze ICP - now THAT is a frightening prospect!

Episode 229 — Two Thumbs & Not Much Else

The reaction to this show is what's great about Comedy Bang Bang. This one didn't strike me as one of the best of the year, although it was VERY funny. But it's great to see so many fellow CBB fans loved it so much. I think it's a credit to the quality of Comedy Bang Bang's shows this year, that an episode of this quality would only be rated 'very good' by me (whose ratings are, of course, worthless). -
Yeah, baby, YEAH!!!!! (copyright Mall McCartney) From Scott and Harris on Twitter: Harris Wittels @twittels: "Call in to Analyze Phish tomorrow (1:15pmPST)!!! Tell us what Phish songs I should play for @ScottAukerman to convert him. 347-514-9653" Scott Aukerman @ScottAukerman: "Just to clarify- any suggestions to @twittels and I made on twitter will be ignored- you must call in tomorrow! If you think @twittels is doing a bad job, call and let him know! If you think I'm being pigheaded, call and let me know!"

For fans of Bob, he appears on the free Benson Interruption podcast - recorded live at the Del Close Marathon last weekend. Sadly, bob is suffering from some new ailments. Let's all pray for him.

I think it's just a generic music bed - they use it in the commercials sometimes as well.

I'm curious to see who you CBB nuts think are the most underrated guests - recurring or not. The Paul F. Tompkins, Farts and Pro crew, Gillian Jacobs, James Adomiams and Andy Dalys of the world get tons of acclaim - and rightfully so! But I also think there are quite a few guests who have flown under the radar, while still being fantastic on the show. I'd say David Wain tops my list. I think he and Scott have perfect chemistry, and he always seems game for whatever hijinks go on. The epic Paul Rudd/Ken Marino/Wain rap battle comes to mind. Eddie Pepitone was also pretty amazing in his two character appearances. In particular, the undercover count-terrorism agent who was stationed in diners was one of the funniest bits ever on the show IMO. And finally, Aimee Mann lived up to her reputation as "a friend of comedy" in her appearances, during the show's early run. Why hasn't she been back, Saucerman?!?!
-
Exactly! Even Dark Shadows went on to make $240 million overall thanks to overseas revenue.
-
No doubt!
-
They did this bit on both the 2011 and 2012 Best of specials.
-
This was a really fun episode over all - with Andy Daly giving one of his funniest performances. Did anyone else get a weird vibe from Ben Stiller? He wasn't openly hostile or anything, but he was a little... off.
-
I just don't think there's much to goof on. It was a run of the mill American comedy. In fact, it's basically a comedy road movie by numbers. It's no better or worse than most other mainstream comedies released in any given year. I think it's different than Fast Five & 6 because those are movies actually loved by the hosts. And with Timothy Green, it split the hosts, with Jason and Tim actually liking it. Burlesque? I think it's really awful, definitely WAY more stuff to make fun of than Identity Thief in my opinion. Again though, I'm not saying Identity Thief is good. It's just not THAT bad either.

I love that Jon Daly picks these musicians that he knows nothing about. Like when Scott had to tell him John Frusciante wasn't in the Chili Pepps in the Pepper Men episode.
-
Paul, stop ducking my god damn question!!
-
I think a good standard would be - would 'Identity Thief' make a list of the 100 Worst Comedies of All-Time (English language)? Of course not. Would it make a list of the 500 Worst? Still, no. 1000? Maybe, but still probably not. That's not the kind of movie worth doing on HDTGM, in my view.
