    Episode 99.5 — Minisode 99.5

I've never ever thought of June as a "bimbo". I don't get that at all from her. She likes different stuff from her husband. It's pretty common.

    Episode 326 — 2014 Holiday Spectacular

Victor and Tiny talking about the pod race was absolutely the greatest.

    Slate made a mistake

Engineer Cody forgot to submit an episode for consideration for this list.

    Episode 98.5 — Minisode 98.5

Danjaq found out during post production that a real tech company called Zorin existed. They had to include a disclaimer to avoid a lawsuit.

    Saving Christmas (2014)

I think they just might do this one since the Christmas episode won't be a live one. I think I will skip watching the movie as I don't feel like sitting through right wing propaganda.

    Episode 98.5 — Minisode 98.5

If we want movies with heart that still manage to fail, the two Bond movies that are perfect IMO are Moonraker and Quantum of Solace. Both movies go for broke - and subsequently break.

    Episode 98.5 — Minisode 98.5

If you are interested in seeing the Bond movies, you definitely do not have to watch them in order up until the three Daniel Craig movie. Aside from a few recurring characters like M and Q, the events of the previous film rarely impact the next film. Bond seemingly meets Blofeld for the first time on a few different occasions, for example. In fact, I would recommend not trying to hold the movies to any kind of continuity because the movies constantly violate stuff that came before.

    Episode 98.5 — Minisode 98.5

I know critics savaged it at the time, but I think it's because they were tired of Roger Moore. Looking at it retrospectively, there is a lot of good stuff in it. I also call bullshit on those RT ratings. Die Another Day has 57% and yet I've never met anyone who likes it.
  9. Paul's reactions to Lauren's cursing were priceless.

    Episode 98.5 — Minisode 98.5

I think Paul was overselling that 'badness' of View to a Kill - maybe to justify doing it on the podcast. His mocking of the trailer was weird - it was just like every other action movie trailer from the '80s. It seems like this is just an excuse to crossover with James Bonding, which is fine. But View to a Kill is a middle of the road Bond movie - there are at least five (Moonraker, Tomorrow Never Dies, Die Another Day, The World is not Enough and Quantum of Solace) that are WAY worse in my opinion.

Which Movies Does HDTGM Absolutely Need To Review?

I can't speak for anyone else but I am personally a fan of the classics like Citizen Kane and The Godfather.
  12. I wasn't crazy about last week's episode, but this episode was amazing! Kroll was on-point!
  13. My favorite album of the year too!
  14. Rolling Stone once again proving that it has the pulse of modern culture... I like the album, but puhleeeeeeze.

    X-Files: I Want to Believe

But the X-Files was always about more than aliens. Hell, there were two-times more Monster of the Week episodes than alien episodes. I guess people also forget how much so many of them hated the alien mythology by the end of the series!

Episode 324 — Golden Duchess Cruise Lines

I'm glad this was an in studio-appearance for Hanks, rather than a call-in.

    Largo 12/05 shows

Tanya Robers is terrible in A View to a Kill, but I still think Halle Berry is much worse as Jinx. The only reason I can of that they are doing this movie is that it will be a crossover with James Bonding. I think A View to a Kill is coming up in their running order.

What guest do you want to see?

I get that, but there was a palpable sense of disgust in Tom's voice the times he talked about throwing out the CDs. More than usual and not in a Garry Shandling/Chuck Woolery kind of way. That said, I would be thrilled to see Tom and PFT make up. I would love to hear Paul on the new incarnation of The Best Show. Tom made a really nice gesture when he thanked PFT during the last WFMU show.

    Pardcast-a-thon 2014

Billy Eichner proves again that he is the funniest human being on the planet.

    Pardcast-a-thon 2014

The Fred Willard segment was hilarious - particularly his chiding of guest keyboardist Wayne Federman.
  21. Really annoyed that Amanda didn't choose Stitches for Betsy's comic strip scenario.

What guest do you want to see?

Specifics aren't known, but it's clear that they don't speak anymore. Tom used to refer to PFT as "that comic in LA who doesn't talk to me anymore". He even said once that he had gleefully thrown out all of "that comic's" CDs.

2014 Comedy Bang Bang Live Show Bundle

I was there - the way all four of them wandered around the stage was fucking hilarious.
