  1. Most musical guests know when to take a step back and let the comedians do comedy on the comedy podcast.

Stars didn't seem to have much interest in that.

Here's the problem. People complain when musical guests get too involved in the flow of CBB. People complain when musical guests don't get involved with the flow of CBB.

How can you complain when the guests really try to get into the spirit of the show, go along with Scottie Scares Em's bits from moment one and show enthusiasm for interacting with the character guests? Stars did all of those things.

  2. I know it's unfair to complain about a free podcast, and I know that June has been off working and/or doing promotional stuff for Unfinished Business, but the June-less episodes are missing a certain je ne sais quoi. Zouks' continued calling anyone who floated an insane theory about the movie "June" helped, and I still laughed, but still.

Also, if she's not at the New York shows, you may hear audible weeping from me.

I totally agree. June's POV is indispensable for the show in my opinion.

  3. The thing I loved most about the preview is that SPONTANEANATION sounds different than every other Earwolf podcast. It has a Pod F Tompkast-vibe but obviously has a totally different format. I also like that even though it's an improv-based podcast, it seems to be totally different to improv4humans and With Special Guest.

Plus, was that a PFT and Jay Johnston reunion I heard?!?!?

  4.

I'd like to think that Scott either 1.) recorded an ep, but wasn't going to release it, or 2.) wasn't planning on hosting WSGLL as Dabney at all. Until mischievous ol' Lauren Lapkus forced his hand by announcing it publicly.

That's certainly not the case, I just like thinkin about it.

I'm sure Dabney was at Lauren's 'beck and keeel'.

  5. So, to be clear, jokes about babyfucking are funny. Jokes about Scott being a horribly abusive parent are hilarious. But jokes about a douchebag's mom, who died seven years ago? That's where we draw the line? Over the years, Scott and co have made numerous tasteless (and funny) jokes about the deaths of Whitney Houston, Brian Jones, Natalie Wood, Nerine Shatner, and more (not sure why all my examples involve water). Why is everyone shocked and offended about Kanye's mom?

Not to mention Michael Jackson calling in from hell two days after he died.

  6. A possible clue...

Seems more like confirmation than just a clue!

I just wish they'd schedule it on Tuesdays. I don't want to have to make a choice between whether to listen to this or CBB first, haha.
