  1. Didn't Scott say that Eric Jonrosh would be the guest this week?

He did, but I'm not complaining, I'll take Schwartz and Horatio over Ferrell any day of the week on CBB. Excited for this one, I hope the it becomes a tradition every year that Schwartz and Horatio start things off

  2. Looks like I was right about what the top 3 would be.

Here's to another year of amazing CBB eps, can't see what's in store for 2014!

Again thanks Scott for providing us with all this free amazing comedy!

Also one little wish I have for this year is the return of Gelman, Mulaney, Oswalt and Pally. They were all missed this year

  3. I'm liking the countdown so far, the only thing that bothers me is no Horatio. He was possibly he best guest this year and he doesn't get on the countdown at all. The ep with him and Meadows was def top 10 material IMO and the Aaron Neville one was after the voting so I guess it's eligible next year but prob won't make it since by that time it will have been so long ago and people will have forgotten about it.

I feel the same way about Lapkus but at least she was on the 4th Aniiversary ep. I thought the one with her and Eric Andre def was top 10 material as well

  4. Neither Pool Party or ep 200 made my list, so I wouldn't be so sure of that.

I honestly think there is a very small chance that either of thoser aren't in the top 20. The fans love Wompler and even though it wasn't Zouks and Daly's best ep together it was still top 10 worthy. And hopefully they get retribution from getting screwed last year when they funniest CBB ep of all time got #4 in the countdown

  5. Yeah. I was also shocked by that. As much as I absolutely love FnP 1, I feel like that because of the behemoth of comedy that it was pretty much guarantees that any FnP sequel will be in the first or second spot. Not to target the Farts and Pro crew, but I think there were a lot of eps this year that got snubbed that were better than FnP 3, and I believe this to be a flub.

    I agree 100%

  6. I am also surprised that Peanut in the Rain isn't top 10 but I'm guessing that Peanut in the Rain and Garry Unmarried kind of canceled each other out in votes since people loved both and didn't want 2 Garry/Gilly eps in their top 10 since it was already so hard to choose 10. I know I chose to only pick one and chose Peanut in the Rain

I think Besser and Zouks would both be great to have on at some point. They both have a lot of music knowledge and can argue with the best.

I like phish, but I LOVE how angry and dismissive people can be when confronted with their music. Harris and his continued failure are amazing podcast material. Thank you Earwolf, musical elitism has never been more entertaining.

Besser is a Phish fan, he went to college with John Paluska, Phish's early manager so Besser was seeing Phish in the late 80's in northeastern frat houses. Besser is a Phish vet

Also in Zouks's ep of Improv4Humans with Jessica St Clair and Lennon Parham they brought up Phish in a skit and seemed to have some knowledge anout them. Zouls went to college in Vermont in the late 80's/early 90's. I'd be shocked if he hasn't seen some Phish shows

  8. this episode was definitely funny and a good CBB in general, but i don't think it's being a hater to be disappointed at no suicide house this year. its not like CBB has been around forever and they've done suicide house a couple of times, its been every halloween in its fairly short run, its a tradition and consistently amazing, its like if the simpsons didn't do treehouse of horror one year, people would be understandably bummed. obviously things don't always work out, people arn't available, etc. but i think its a totally fair reaction for people to be confused by this episode. one of the hallmarks of CBB is repeat jokes and characters, callbacks and building on stuff its done before. so calling this comedy fang fang and having not having brett gelman, jon daly, or allan mcleod or anything resembling old halloween episodes is going to be a huge let down.

    Well said, and I agree

  9. Also at least Pete played along with everything and was game, there are plenty of first time guests on CBB who aren't

For example for most of the Bill Hader/Bob Ducca ep this year Hader was flat out not playing along with things Scott was doing and was freaking checking his phone throughout. At least Pete was game 100% of the time and while he might not be everyone's cup of tea he was trying his hardest

  10. Before Pete was on CBB, I was worried that he would take over and not collaborate with the characters if he ever came on, but I don't think that was the case. Gabrus was hilarious, and I think his performance could have been derailed if Holmes was too "Holmesian." I think everyone played off each other quite well in this episode.

Wait, people want Pete Holmes to calm down? Why have Pete Holmes on if you want him to be calm? That's ridiculous.

I agree with both of these, I loved it

And I equally love all the butthurt on the baord about the appearance
