Episode 258 - Gallant and Gallant
Poika replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Also, when Alan asks, "Were they building a basement or something here?", Matt's exasperated "I don't know!" made me "lol". -

"Hey Mike we got some new urban traps in." "Aww perfect. For the urban kids?" "I know man you're a Pats fan. I get it." Wiger needs to hear this!!! -
Episode 257 - Sing A Long Experiment #1
Poika replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
What a great episode! Glad to hear Todd Glass loaned Matty B. his marvelous reverb machine! -
Was surprised Scott didn't bust Matt when he said "There's lots of borders, Scotts."

Frank Luntz deserves all the heartburn he gets. I'm sure he would have gotten along real well with Lee Atwater.

The nice thing about having a decent Nolte impression is that it's just five minutes of practice away from Tom Waits if you ever need it.

Episode 1821 - Rich Sommer
Poika replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Good god I love the Rich Sommer episodes. That guy GETS IT. -
This is the dynamic of the show that I love the most. Encouragement and lifting each other up to reach a goal and making Howard or Ku or Stard shine like they should.

I swear to god, that suicide note had me cramping with laughter. This episode felt like CBB essence.

I especially loved Kristian's reaction when he asked if the floor was open. A classic WYR blunder!

Episode 868 - Calling Hillary Clinton Racist (w/ Brett Gelman)
Poika replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Yo, Is This Racist?
Holy shit has no one noticed that Brett Gelman is on Yo, Is This Racist?!? -
"You're like the opposite of Bob Dole!" HA!

Smashmouth's Astral Lounge is actually a very good album, so Scott is not crazy. Also, very happy that "PEOPLE ON THE STREET" made another appearance with absolutely no reaction!

Episode 1818 - Grace Parra and Jennifer Bartels
Poika replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Boy did these ladies GET IT! I truly think some of favorite NNF episodes are when I discover funny people that I'm unfamiliar with that click with the format. A very fun episode, and I found someone else I'll be following. -
I really enjoyed the chop busting nature of this episode, because the people whose chops got busted ran with it and made it hilarious! Everyone got in on it too. So fun.

Scott singing "Eating on the streets" about the pickles felt like our own little private joke that no one else on the podcast noticed!

Episode 1814 - Dave Holmes

I was surprised to see that #johnnyhorton actually had a lot of tweets (unrelated to this episode!) Matt and his recorder with everyone joining in- sooo satisfying. -
If any of you guys need flowers in Rockford, not to worry. There are plenty of flower shops. It's a city of 150,000 people- not some podunk town. (Still love Natasha, but cut us some slack!!) Loved the informal, chatty nature of this episode!

Episode 1811 - Paul Reiser
Poika replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
My politics pretty much line up with these guys, so maybe I'm more willing to cut some slack, but they do consistently say they are ignorant about politics before spouting their opinions. I think this puts them on par with about 90% of the general public. That said, loved this episode! Paul Reiser is so quick and so in touch for being a self proclaimed out of touch guy (both here and on CBB today.) I really enjoyed him talking about his kids and doing stuff for them that they can and should do for themselves because goddammit these moments don't last forever. Between this and today's CBB, it's been a while since I've laughed so hard at two podcasts in one day. -
How has #jizztastic not become a thing yet?

Episode 1809 - Pat Francis
Poika replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
I'm from Rockford (former home of Blue Suede Shoes for all you Pardo historians), so the Cheap Trick thing has been a pretty big deal here. The Jimmy Pardo article about the RRHOF ceremony in the AV club is a fun read with some great pictures. I'm so happy Jimmy and Pat got to go! -
"Do you understand English?" "Suuure, I am!"

That train DID look a little heavy in that cinematic masterpiece.

Episode 1805 - Justin Willman

Always love it when they start talking about the golden age of cable game shows!
