This movie was awful, like not in a fun way. Repeatedly hearing women called bitches and cunts, mistreated, harassed and raped (WTF GUYS, NOT COOL, WARNING WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE). Add to that it's painfully slow. Like CameronH said, this was disturbing and not something I will be revisiting. Blech.

The worst people are the ones who complain about the hacking "visuals" in the movie, what , because you want to watch 90 minutes of people typing code? Plus if you watch the bonus featurette in the 20th anniversary blu-ray you see just how much work went into this movie, especially the art direction of those visuals scenes. The writer went to 2600 meetings and talked to a bunch of hackers in NYC to get stuff right. Yes the people portraying hackers are ridiculously beautiful, but at least they are pale and fairly skinny freaks. Plus who didn't want a Cyberdelia type place to hang out as a teenager?! Clearly I am too close to this movie. I'll just be plugging my ears and closing my eyes until next weeks ep.

This soundtrack is awesome, its actually out of print now and a collectors item. I was introduced to electronic music from this movie: Kruder Dorfmeister, Orbital, Underworld, Prodigy, Massive Attack...sigh
